Chamique Holdsclaw, one of the greatest players in WNBA history, was charged today for an incident in November in which Holdsclaw allegedly fired a gun at an ex-girlfriend. The former University of Tennessee great was arrested last year in Atlanta after a violent confrontation with Jennifer Lacy and now faces six total charges: Two for aggravated assault; one for criminal damage in the first degree; two for criminal damage in the second degree; and one for possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. If convicted, Holdsclaw could be sentenced to 65 years in prison. It’s unclear what provoked the attack from the ex-baller, but she and Lacy has recently broken up when it occurred. According to reports, Holdsclaw initially went after Lacy with a baseball bat before opening fire on her while Lacy sat inside a parked vehicle.
