Chris Brown returned to the Grammy Awards for the first time in three years Sunday night, notching a win for Best R&B album and putting on a spirited live performance. Three years after assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the Grammys, Brown (who was convicted of felony assault) took that Staples Center stage. Chris Brown simply finished his songs, stood triumphantly and saluted the crowd before taking a bow. Breezy – as Brown is nicknamed – made the night an even bigger success when he went on to win his first ever Grammy Award, for Best R&B Album for F.A.M.E . “People who make mistakes and learn from them are ROLE MODELS too.
