Lady Gaga is in mourning this week after losing a loved one near and dear to her heart: Beloved childhood dog Alice, who passed away at the age of 17. On Tuesday, October 29, the 27-year-old pop star confirmed the death on Twitter, explaining, “We had to put her down, cancer ate away at a little angel.” “My daddy is so sad,” she Tweeted , “we all are, lost a member of our family.” Lady Gaga’s Dog Passes Away “I love being an entertainer but it is so painful sometimes to be away from home … 17 years she held on, so many memories. Nothing beats family.” “I remember her laying my bed, she knew when I was sad, or when I was sick … I should have been there. I just pray that Alice found her wonderland.” Awww. 🙁 Clearly, the loss is taking a toll on Gaga – much more so than Kelly Osbourne telling her to eat s–t – as she stepped out in a somber, all-black ensemble. We wish her the best in this difficult time, and if it’s any consolation, it sounds like Alice led a very long and happy life in a loving household at least. R.I.P.
