Last June, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas announced their split . Now, just over a year later, the estranged couple has finalized their divorce. Court records show that both Melanie and Antonio, who cited irreconcilable difference as the reason for divorce, have signed all of the necessary legal documents required to end their 18-year marriage. Though their divorce didn’t draw a significant amount of media attention, it wasn’t without drama. Melanie wanted full custody of their daughter, Stella. She also requested spousal support. However, the custody issue was easily resolved when Stella turned 18 last September, relieving them of any necessary custody arrangements. A judge still has to sign off on the documents, but that should happen any day. So, essentially, the two have divorced and can move their separate ways. Certainly, this divorce couldn’t have been easy on Melanie and Antonio. But luckily, they have practice. This is Melanie’s fourth divorce and Antonio’s second.
