Melissa Rycroft is officially a second-time mother. The former Dancing with the Stars contestant – who was originally selected by Jason Mesnick on The Bachelor , only to be quickly dumped for Molly Mesnick – welcomed a son into the world yesterday. Her rep confirmed the exciting news to People. Beckett Thomas Strickland was born to Rycroft and husband Tye in the afternoon, weighing in at 7 lbs., 7 oz. and measuring 19.2 inches in length. “This little guy has been teasing us about his arrival for the last month so it is only fitting that he surprise us with his arrival on Easter Sunday,” Rycroft said in a statement, adding of her two kids: “He’s perfect and beautiful. Ava can’t wait for us to bring him home to be able to show us all of the big sister duties she’s been practicing.” Rycroft was involved in arguably the most controversial Bachelor finale in history, getting the boot from Jason on air… though clearly rebounding very well.
