It looks like NBC has got Rihanna’s money. The network announced today that the superstar singer has joined Season 9 of The Voice. With Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams all on board as coaches this fall, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt told reporters today at the TCA Press Tour in Beverly Hills that Rihanna will serve as a “key advisor” to them all. It’s unclear what that means, but whatever. Rihanna will be a part of The Voice! “This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers,” Greenblatt said. Levine and Shelton, of course, have been with The Voice since it premiere in 2011. Williams is going into his third season, while Stefani joined back in season seven… though she took season eight off and Christina Aguilera jumped in to a red chair in her place. Aguilera is expected back on season 10, but no matter. Rihanna will have the sex appeal quotient covered until then!
