Elsewhere In The World: Big Boi Gets Offensive Black “Golliwog” Dolls Removed From New Zealand Airport

Really New Zealand?! This is what ya’ll are on?! SMH RAPPER BIG Boi, who recently blasted a store in New Zealand airport for selling “racist” dolls, had the offensive products removed from sale, it has been reported. The Outkast star posted pictures of the toys on his Twitter page last Thursday (Aug 25) describing them as “golliwogs,” a controversial series of dolls that depict black people in a racially offensive manner. In reaction to the Shutterbug rapper’s outburst, newspaper The New Zealand Herald contacted Auckland’s airport management, who then had the dolls removed. Airport corporate relations manager, Richard Llewellyn said: “Once we were made aware, the retailer was immediately asked to remove the product from sale.” “In this case we acknowledge that this is a product widely regarded as inappropriate. We apologise for any offence caused as a result of this product being on sale at the airport,” he added. Boi stop!! Source
