Facebook will no longer supporting the product “Lite” version which was as seen a potential challenge to the microblogging site Twitter. Facebook based in California posted in their website statement as “We’re no longer supporting it, but learned a lot from the test of a slimmed-down site.” “If you used Lite, you’ll now be taken to the main Facebook.com site.” The Lite version of Facebook was a simplified version of social networking website that enabled people to make comments, accept Friend requests, write on people’s Walls, and look at photos and Status updates. Its service was launched about eight (9) months ago in an attempt to cater to new users “looking to start off with a more simple experience.” Facebook Lite version is similar style of the real-time interplay Twitter that was devoted to bring the user fresh comments and updates from friends.
