I met Justin for the first time on October 26, 2012. Back in May I purchased tickets for me and a friend to the concert with plans to turn it in to a girls weekend. I had been waiting years just to see Justin live, I never dreamt I would have the opportunity to meet him as well! A few days before the concert, my friend ended up having a huge event at work and could not get off in time for the meet & greet. It was disappointing, but I was still going to meet Justin and she would still be able to make in time for the concert. On the day of the concert, I was a ball of nerves. I made the trip from Iowa to Kansas City with plenty of time to spare and I couldn’t believe how crazy the venue was! People were everywhere. I followed the crowds and made my way toward where all of the buses were parked. We saw Carly and her bus, but no sign of Justin. While I was waiting I came up with a BRILLIANT plan of bringing someone into the meet & greet with me. I figured I had 2 paid M&G’s, I might as well use them! Security, however, did not like my plan. They got all worked up and told me there was no way unless they were going to use the concert ticket as well. Fail. Shortly after, we got ushered into a single file line to wait for the meet & greet. Everyone, including myself, was so nervous and anxious, it was all we could talk about! Kenny came out while we were waiting in line and shook hands and said hi, but he seemed busy trying to figure something out and didn’t hang around. Pretty soon the line began to move and it was my turn to meet Justin! Everyone was going in with their groups of 2 (or 4), but I was solo! When I stepped up, part of his security team said, ‘We have a solo!’ so I turned to him and said, ‘You make that sound so bad, I promise I have friends!’ We were all laughing when they pulled back the curtain, and Justin looked over and said, ‘Something funny?’. I couldn’t believe it. It was all so surreal and went by in a blur. I walked up to him and he put his arm around my waist and Mike snapped the picture. I remember seeing Alfredo right next to Mike and couldn’t help but stare – his smile is so amazing! Justin rubbed my back and said “Thank you, sweetie,” gave me a hug and I wished him good luck. Walking out, I couldn’t believe what just happened and had this permanent smile plastered to my face. Soon it was time for the concert and we made our way to our front row seats. It was unbelievable! The best seats I could have asked for. Cody and Carly both put on great shows, so much energy! Justin came out during Cody’s performance, which was hilarious and surprised everyone. Justin was incredible, there really is no other words to describe him or the show. I didn’t watch any videos from previous shows (talk about self-control), so I really didn’t know what to fully expect. He blew all of my expectations out of the water. In the midst of the show, I looked down our row and saw Bruce (Justin’s Grandpa) enjoying the show. I don’t think a smile left his face either, you could tell how proud he was. Once the concert ended, we had to wait to be ushered out of the venue. We saw that Dan was still on stage so we tried getting his attention before we had to leave our seats. He ended up coming over to the edge of the stage, talked for a few minutes and tossed us his guitar picks. Walking out of the venue, I tweeted our picture with the guitar picks & thanked Dan, which he then re-tweeted! It was such an incredible night and one that I will never forget. A big thank you to Justin and the entire team for making it such a memorable experience! -Kristin (@KNDempsey) More: I met Justin for the first time on October 26, 2012. Back in May…
