The production of the next James Bond movie has been suspended “indefinitely” because of incertitude over the future of film company MGM. The Producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have no idea on when the work on the 23rd Bond film would resume and still there was no date for its release. James Bond is the longest running franchise in film history. The latest Bond starred by Daniel Craig as 007 for the third time, had been due out in 2011 or 2012. Daniel Craig is the sixth actor to play the British secret agent after Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan. According to Wilson and Brocolli of EON Productions, due to the continuing uncertainty beleaguering the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale studio, they have suspended the development on Bond 23 indefinitely.
