Source: Lara D Young/Getty Images / Getty Two Men Die On Lake Lanier During Memorial Day Weekend Police are (once again) warning people to be prudent when vacationing at a local Georgia lake. WSBTV reports that two men lost their lives this holiday weekend at Lake Lanier. A 30-year-old man, Reginald Whitehad, was on a jet ski and trying to pull it onto a boat ramp at Shoal Creek Park when the watercraft flipped over around 8 p.m. Search crews recovered Whitehad’s body around 10:45 p.m. Authorities told WSBTV that the victim was from Perry, Ga. and did not know how to swim. He was also not wearing a life jacket at the time of the accident. AHEAD IN OUR NEXT HOUR: 30 year old Reginald Whitehad drowned on Lake Lainer after his jet ski flipped over Saturday night. That man, 61-year-old Michael Thompson, was pronounced dead on the scene.
