Long Island Earthquake map 2010

According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.9 and struck at around 10:45 am. The center of the Long island earthquake was located 100 miles off the shores of Southampton in the Atlantic Ocean. This is the second earth movement residents of Long Island experience; back in June they felt the earthquake that took place in eastern Canada. A minor earthquake that was felt as far away as Vermont rocked an area underneath the Atlantic Ocean near Long Island on Tuesday
