Heavy rains were noted in Nashville, Tennessee which had cost 9 people’s lives, according to CNN. Storms are predicted to hang on for at most two days and it was advised that residents of the affected localities are to stay off the road until weather clears up. Acccording to authorities, the current rain is the worst ever experienced by locals and has made more than 50 water rescues yesterday. Mayor of Nashville Karl Dean expressed “This is one of the most severe rain events Nashville has ever experienced.” Two levees broke in a small town near Nashville, and it’s estimated that about 2,000 people have been displaced because of the flooding. “The flooding brought the town to a standstill.
