Polish president killed in plane crash in Russia

Very sad day for those whom are Polish. Polish President Lech Kaczynski, along with Polish delegation and his wife, was killed in a plane crash early Saturday at a western Russian airport. Reports say there are no survivors. The president had been traveling to the 70th anniversary of a site where Polish POWs were massacred by Soviets in the village of Katyn. Among those who died: -Lech Kaczysnki — Polish president -Maria Kaczynska — The president's wife -Aleksander Szczyglo — head of the National Security Office and former defense minister -Ryszard Kaczorowski — last president of the anti-Communist government-in-exile in London, 1989-90. The government-in-exile was set up after the prewar Warsaw government was forced to flee the Nazis in 1939. -Gen.
