Now that cleanup crews are being let go, more and more former cleanup workers, angered and confused by the way they were treated by temp agencies sub-contracted by BP, are coming forward with stories of improper training, threats to their health, unsafe working conditions, violations of labor laws, health problems, and other harmful practices to which they were subjected. As traditional media continues to celebrate the unlikely disappearance of the oil spilled by the Macondo 252 well, Gulf residents are becoming increasingly disconcerted by the severe neglect of corporations and government agencies involved with the spill.
