Sumatra Earthquake – 7.7 magnitude earthquake hits Sumatra, Indonesia

A strong earthquake hits northern Sumatra, Indonesia  earlier today, Wednesday April 6. USGS reported it was a 7.7 magnitude earthquake, while other sources said it’s 7.8. This earthquake that shook Sumatra has spawned about 215 km (135 miles) from it epicenter. There were at least 5 aftershocks recorded after that, with magnitude of up to 5.2. The northern Sumatra earthquake has also prompted several tsunami alerts. There were reported injuries already and one casualties. We will bring you  more updates once they become available. Let’s pray for the safety of our friends in Sumatra, Indonesia. Earlier this week, earthquakes in California  shook San Diego, Los Angeles and also parts of Mexico .
