Backed by a choir, the 24-year-old Illinois singer ended the show with Simon Cowell’s choice, “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. The performance blew away the judges, with Cowell calling DeWyze “a fantastic singer” and a “great performer.” DeWyze kicked things off earlier with a stunning rendition of Lynyrd Skynard’s “Simple Man,” making him a likely choice to reach next week’s finale. read more
