Wednesday’s elimination was another teary one as show reaches halfway point. By Kelley L. Carter Chelsie Hightower and Jake Pavelka on “Dancing with the Stars” (file) Photo: ABC Bye-bye, Bachelor. After landing in the bottom two on Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars,” “Bachelor” star Jake Pavelka was sent home on Wednesday. Like last week, when Kate Gosselin was sent packing, Pavelka also was teary, telling the audience that this was “the best season of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ I’ve ever seen. I was so honored to be a part of this. I’ve enjoyed every second of this.” He also thanked his partner, Chelsie Hightower, saying she’s one of his best friends and then pausing to break down in tears. Joining Pavelka in the bottom two was comedienne Niecy Nash and her partner, Louis van Amstel. “I’ve made it this far, the halfway point, I would be so disappointed to go home now,” Nash said. Early in the show, Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke recreated the Argentine tango that the judges raved over the night before. Singer Melissa Etheridge and guitarist Benise also performed. With only six celebrities remaining, two middle-of-the-pack pairs are starting to give favorites Nicole Scherzinger and Evan Lysacek a run for their money. Erin Andrews and Ochocinco were called the breakthrough performers of the week. Ochocinco said he’s continuing to get more into a comfort zone and was pleased that the judges are starting to take notice of his hard work. “It’s very refreshing. With all the time and work that Cheryl and I have put in … it’s about time to get some love from them,” he said. “It’s extra motivation. It’s nice to hear a change.” Did you agree with last night’s elimination on “Dancing With the Stars”? Sound off in the comments. Related Photos The 2010 Cast Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’
