Punk icon Malcom McLaren dies at 64

The man who bought the world the Sex Pistols has died in New York at the age of 64. Malcom McLaren, the band's former manager, is thought to have been diagnosed with cancer some time ago. As well as launching the career of the anarchic punk band, McLaren also had a huge influence in the world of fashion when he teamed up with ex-partner Vivienne Westwood to launch a clothes shop and label on London's King's Road in the 70s. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8610423.stm added by: richjm
