My name is Mercedes and on the 17th of July 2012 I had my Bieber Experience. I saw Justin perform at an intimate concert in Sydney and met him, Kenny, Alfredo, and Dan. Justin tweeted that he was coming to Australia on the 15th of July. Soon enough, there were heaps of competitions I could enter to have the chance to see him at an acoustic performance for less than 300 people. I spent hours thinking of my entries and entered pretty much every single day. My good friend Caoimhe was doing the exact same, along with thousands of other Aussie Beliebers. Less than a week before the date of the intimate concert, I got a call from Caoimhe telling me that hot30 (local radio station) had called her and told her that they really liked her entry! It was insane, and I knew that it was one step closer to meeting Justin. She was one of the weekly finalists and they told her that a few days later they would call her and let her know if she won. A few days later she called telling me that she had not only won tickets to the acoustic show, but tickets to also meet Justin! It was absolutely incredible. The day eventually came, and we had to wait over three hours to see him perform. It was at a secret location, meaning we got transported there by private buses. Soon enough we waiting for Justin to perform, in front row! He finally came out, looking flawless and perfect as usual. He sang Boyfriend, Catching Feelings, ALAYLM, All Around The World, Be Alright, Baby, and Die in Your Arms. My friend was dancing like an idiot so he kept looking over to us during his performance! Alfredo came over to where we were to take videos, and he started talking to us and apologized for not being allowed to take a photo with us. Justin was absolutely adorable, asking us how we were and if we missed him. The performance ended, and the people that weren’t meeting Justin had to leave. While we were lining up to meet Justin, Kenny came out from backstage and I ran over to him and hugged him. He also apologized for not being allowed to take a photo with me. Soon enough me and Caoimhe were front of the line to meet Justin. We ran over as soon as we could so that we were next to him in the photo. Caoimhe was the first to talk to him, and when she said, “Look! We have matching denim vests!” Justin replied, “You have so much swag!” It was then my turn to talk to him. As soon as I said, “Hey Justin!” he turned to look at me. I told him that I loved him and that he’s beautiful, and he replied with, “Aw thank you.. You’re beautiful.” It was literally the best thing I had ever heard. After the photo was taken, Justin turned to hug me first and I kissed him on the cheek. I didn’t want to leave and it got to the point that security had to escort us out of the way to make room for other fans. As we were leaving, I saw Dan , but security wouldn’t let me say hello. I was really upset about it and I think Dan could tell because he smiled and waved to me.
