In the 2011 General Election, Mr Lina Chiam switched to lead a GRC team in Bishan-Toa Payoh and garnered some 43 per cent of the 109,374 votes. Results for Potong Pasir were the last to come in and this was due to recounts at the counting centres over “some disagreements and issues” said Mrs Chiam.
