An 8-foot king cobra has been found just about 1,500 feet from where it escaped its Orlando home in late August. King cobras are carnivorous animals that can grow up to 18 feet long. The venom in one cobra bite is enough to kill 20 people or an elephant, but they rarely attack humans. With proper licensing, they can be legally kept as pets in Florida.
