If you watch Vanderpump Rules online , then the thought of DJ James Kennedy probably brings to mind the image of a shaved ferret furiously pounding the play button on iTunes and wondering why women aren’t lining up to have sex with him. Or maybe that’s too harsh. Perhaps for you, DJ James conjures thoughts of a Harry Potter prequel that focuses on young Voldemort’s time as a West Hollywood club douche. Whatever the case, we’re all in agreement that James is the absolute worst. Unfortnuately, we have bad news for the James Haters out there, as it looks like Kennedy will be back for another season of pretending he has any reason to hang out around the rest of the Vanderpump crew. This year promises to be even more awkward than last, as James’ one pseudo-ally, Lala Kent, quit the show last summer. James needs someone to talk to other than the unseen middle-aged dude he rents a corner from (we assume his name is Ron), which might explain why Raquel Leviss is apparently being added to the cast. The news comes to us courtesy of a post on Scheana Marie’s Instagram page: Scheana posted the above pic during a day of filming, and the introductory tone of the caption led many fans to the impression that the folks she’s flanked by will be joining the Vanderpump family for Season 6: “My pageant queen and SUR’s newest!” Scheana wrote alongside the pic. The woman, of course, is pageant competitor and noted bad decision maker Leviss. She’s dating Kennedy, who we can only assume has some Trump pee tape -level dirt on her. The dude is a male model named Adam Spott, who is now, according to Scheana, SUR’s newest. We’re not sure what sort of ties Spott has to the rest of the cast, but it’s not the first time producers have tried to liven things up with a newcomer who never appeared on the show as a friend of an existing SUR-ver. It didn’t work out so well for Lala, or the ill-fated Vail Bloom (We miss you, baby girl.), but maybe the third time will turn out to be the charm. If nothing else, Spott will give the ladies of SUR something to look at other than Kennedy’s rage-contorted mug, and we’re sure they’re grateful for that. Last week, the world was shocked to learn that former New England Patriots tight end and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his prison cell after having apparently taken his own life. As details of the 27-year-old’s final moments emerged, it became clear that the tragic incident might forever be surrounded in mystery. Authorities confirmed that Hernandez scrawled a Bible passage on his forehead in red ink and used the same ink to create the appearance of wounds on his hands and feet in apparent reference to the crucifixion of Christ. The Bible in his cell lay open to the chapter and verse written on his forehead, and tucked inside the pages were three separate suicide notes: One was addressed to Hernandez’s former fiancee, another to his 4-year-old daughter, and a third to a fellow inmate. It’s been widely reported that the inmate was Hernandez’s gay lover . Details about the convict were slow to emerge, but today, Radar Online is i dentifying him as Kyle Kennedy , a 22-year-old Massachusetts man serving a sentence on armed robbery charges. The contents of the letters remain unknown, but those familiar with the situation say there’s little doubt that Hernandez and Kennedy were involved in a romantic relationship. Insiders add that prior to his death, Hernandez transferred ownership of a $50,000 watch to Kennedy as a gift for when he’s released from prison. Kennedy has reportedly been on suicide watch ever since the night when Hernandez’s body was found. Kennedy has been in prison since January of 2015, when he was arrested after robbing a gas station cashier with a knife. The revelation that Hernandez may have been bisexual sheds new light on the details of his murder conviction. Throughout the trial, a Hernandez associate named Ernest Wallace claimed that Hernandez’s victim, Odin Lloyd, repeatedly taunted the athlete with gay slurs and threatened to out him. Wallace says he believes it was Hernandez’s fear of being exposed as bisexual that motivated him to take Lloyd’s life. We may never find out for certain what motivated Hernandez to murder Lloyd and then take his own life. On December 23, the entertainment world was stunned by the news that iconic actress and writer Carrie Fisher had suffered a heart attack while aboard a flight. Four days later, Fisher passed away , marking an end to both a remarkable career and a frequently turbulent life. In an almost unbelievably heartbreaking coda to a year defined by loss, Fisher’s mother, the entertainment legend Debbie Reynolds, died just one day after her daughter’s passing. Now, in a fitting tribute to a mother and daughter who were so often inseparable in life, Fisher and Reynolds will reportedly be laid to rest in a joint memorial service. “I think this is what they would have wanted” a source close to the family tells TMZ. The idea for a joint service was reportedly inspired by Reynolds’ last words, “I want to be with Carrie.” Insiders say mother and daughter will be honored at both a small, private ceremony for family and friends, and a larger, more public memorial service at which fans can pay their respects. The relationship between Reynolds and Fisher was often turbulent, but those who knew the screen icons best say their many ups and downs only brought them closer. Fisher’s relationship with her mother inspired many of her autobiographical writings, including the fictionalized account of her family life, Postcards From the Edge . The novel was later adapted into a film, with Meryl Streep playing the character based on Fisher, and Reynolds’ surrogate being portrayed by Shirley MacLaine. Both Fisher and Reynolds spoke openly about their relationship, often providing a hopeful example to other families who had been affected by divorce, mental illness, and addiction: “There have been a few times when I thought I was going to lose Carrie,” Reynolds memorably told Oprah Winfrey in 2011. “I’ve had to walk through a lot of my tears. But she’s worth it.” For better or worse, the relationship between Reynolds and Fisher was a frequent source of public interest, and a dual funeral seems the perfect way to remind the world that while both women experienced countless roadblocks in life, their paths always led them back to each other. Tonight, Ronda Rousey will return to the UFC octagon for the first time since her crushing defeat at the hands of Holly Holm back in November of 2015. Not only was it her first loss, the stunning upset marked only the second time one of Rousey’s fights lasted longer than one round. Rousey has spoken openly about spiraling into depression in the wake of her defeat by Holm, and many have questioned her emotional fitness to return to the ring. Needless to say, a lot is on the line for the 28-year-old fan favorite, but based on her latest Instagram upload it seems Rousey is more than ready to square off against Amanda Nunes tonight in Las Vegas. According to Rousey’s caption, the photo on the left was taken five days prior to her February 2015 fight against Cat Zingano, which Rousey won by submission in an astonishing 14 seconds. The pic on the right was taken five days before tonight’s matchup against Nunes. Rousey captioned her post “#FearTheReturn,” and it looks like Nunes should be doing exactly that. Prior to her fight against Holm, Rousey was criticized for focusing too much on the public relations aspect of her career. She made cameos in films like Furious 7 and Entourage . She appeared in commercials, worked red carpets, and happily gave on-the-street interviews to tabloid-y outlets like TMZ. These days Rousey is all business. She’s made few public appearances in the 13 months since her loss to Holm, and she left yesterday’s weigh-in without offering a word to the press. Adding to the pressure is the fact that Rousey has already announced her retirement plans , describing the Nunes bout as “one of my last fights” in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres last month. Clearly, the pressure is on for Rousey’s long-awaited return, and many believe that if she’s able to recapture her title, As though she needed added motivation, Rousey – an outspoken Bernie Sanders supporter – engaged in a public feud with Donald Trump last year, with the president-elect stating he’s “glad” she lost to Holm . We’re sure Rowdy would like to take advantage of this opportunity to show the Donald that some of his critics are made of the toughest stuff there is.
