I once listened to an interview with Jill Scott in which she said she was hesitant about the social networking craze because these sites often used words like “friend”. And the word “friend” was very important to her. It carried weight and meaning. I can dig that. The word is thrown around too lightly. With the advent of social networking sites, the word has almost taken on a new meaning.
