He’s a W-I-N-N-E-R. We all know rats can get in to pretty much any nook and crevice. But who knew they could get into outer space? And settle down on Mars?!? A photo taken in September by NASA’s Curiosity rover appears to depict some kind of furry small creature. “Note its lighter color upper and lower eyelids, its nose and cheek areas, its ear, its front leg and stomach,” writes ScottCWaring, a contributor to UFO Sightings Daily , who first picked up on the abnormality. Others believe this is merely a rock and, similar to the Hitler tea kettle on a recent J.C. Penny billboard, Waring is just seeing what he wants to see. NASA’s Mars Curiosity rover had hardly touched down on the surface of the fourth planet from the sun when its cameras began sending back strange images – ones that some are calling evidence of unidentified flying objects, or UFOs. One video (below) runs a particularly curious Curiosity image through a series of filters, revealing a number of UFO-type objects … or whatever they are. Ever since the Mars Curiosity rover landed safely, theories have run rampant. Alien spacecraft? Mere pixel anomalies? Something else? You decide:
Britney Spears is apparently is on top of current events. The singer, or whatever intern she has running her Twitter, was tweeting at NASA’s Mars Curiosity rover earlier this week, and it was pretty funny! The singer wrote, “So @MarsCuriosity… does Mars look the same as it did in 2000?” She included a link to her video for “Oops!…I Did It Again.” Britney “visited” Mars in that video … playing out an interplanetary love story and setting an intergalactic camel toe record with her red latex catsuit. The best part? Mars Curiosity responded! From the red planet (or at least the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif.), the Cur-zizzle took a break from collecting samples to post: Ooh, these two are totally flirting. You are what you eat, and this is a nasty muhfugga! Rat stir fries and owl curries hardly sound like the stuff you would serve your friends for dinner. But surprisingly, Jonathan McGowan’s exotic roadkill dishes are a big hit with his guests. The 44-year-old bachelor has lived on a diet of roadkill for the past 30 years to avoid buying meat from the supermarket. He has shunned pre-packaged meats and instead dined on mice, moles, hedgehogs, pigeons, crows and gulls. The taxidermist from Bournemouth, Dorset, never kills the animals himself but eats only what he finds at the roadside or in woodland. Mr McGowan first got a taste for roadkill at the age of 14 when he cooked a dead adder that he had found. He said: ‘The adder didn’t actually taste very nice – a bit like bacon rind. But it had piqued my curiosity and I wondered what else I could eat and what it would taste like.’ We know that there might be some suspect hormones or steroids in the chicken breast at our local grocery store, but that said, we ain’t eatin’ no damn roadkill!
