Seen on the scene… 2016 A3C Hip Hop Festival Recap During last weekend’s A3C Hip-Hop festival artists and festival goers collided to celebrate Hip-Hop music and culture. Spread across Atlanta’s Loudermilk Center and Edgewood Avenue, the 12th annual fest kicked off with a “Welcome To Atlanta” reception honoring ATL innovators and legends Cee Lo and Killer Mike. Mike was given the A3C Social Impact Award for his commitment to equality, while Cee Lo was given the A3C Cultural Influencer Award for his musical career and contributions to fashion and culture. Later BOSSIP’s Deputy Editor Janee Bolden was featured on a “Women At Work: Entrepreneurship In Hip Hop” panel moderated by Shanti Das…. and other artists including Bun B…. and Master P had a n intimate sit-down. Soul pianist Robert Glasper and Bryan Michael Cox also chatted on a panel and recalled stories from their childhood… before playing Five Fingers of Death.
