Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly has verbally assaulted just about anyone who isn’t on his far right corner of the political world. For instance, O’Reilly called Beyonce a terrible role model . And even said ISIS would behead Ben Affleck . Or just listen to anything he says about gay people. But O’Reilly’s often stupid antics may have gone to a whole new level. A new report claims that Bill O’Reilly physically assaulted his wife. According to Gawker, a source claims that during his divorce battle with ex-wife, Maureen McPhilmy, “the justice in the case heard testimony accusing O’Reilly of assaulting his wife in the couple’s Manhasset home.” O’Reilly and McPhilmy are in the midst of a custody battle over their two children, Spencer and Madeline. Apparently, things got out of hand, and Bill dragged Maureen down the stairs by her neck. Gawker acknowledged that New York family court cases are sealed, but the source said “a court-appointed forensic examiner testified at a closed hearing that O’Reilly’s daughter claimed to have witnessed her father dragging McPhilmy down a staircase by her neck, apparently unaware that the daughter was watching.” At this time, it isn’t clear when this incident happened. It could have occurred before they split in 2010. “The same source indicated that the daughter, who is 16 years old, told the forensic examiner about the incident within the past year,” claimed Gawker. McPhilmy and O’Reilly divorced in September 2011. Initially, they split custody of their children. But McPhilmy recanted and went for sole custody after O’Reilly put their children’s therapist on his payroll. According to a judge, when O’Reilly put the therapist, Lynne Kulakowski, on his payroll, she became responsible “to perform virtually all of [O’Reilly’s] parental duties.” This isn’t the first time O’Reilly’s ethics have been interrogated.
