17 Connecticut Public Schools Locked Down Under Bomb And Shooting Threats Fairfield, Connecticut police lieutenant James Perez told the NYDailyNews that a gunman called in claiming he was headed to Holland Hill Elementary School armed with a rifle and ready to kill children. Within minutes 2 more calls came in from unidentified sources stating that their were bombs at Fairfield Ludlowe High School and Fairfield Warde High School. The police are still calling the threats “unverifiable”, but that didn’t stop 17 schools from going on lockdown until a thorough investigation of all the threatened properties was conducted. Said Fairfield police chief Gary Macnamara: “We recognize and truly understand that there are thousands of parents right now who are very scared and they’re very worried about their children,” the police chief said. “We certainly understand the angst.” Kids can’t even go to school and learn these days without fear of being shot or blown up.
