Grab Your Bros, Because the Entourage Movie Is Nearly Complete [PIC]

If Mr. Skin had written the screenplay, the Entourage movie would be nothing but an extended two-hour cut of Malin Akerman and Emmanuelle Chriqui ‘s lesbian scene from season three. But alas, he is not. Entourage creator Doug Ellin is, and he tells Deadline that he is on page 110 of the script, which he is ” gonna finish by Sunday (I pray) “. The story picks up about six months after the series finale left off, and as Ellin explains: “ There are interesting developments about Ari as a studio head, and that’s still the first page for me. But foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters. ” But the big-screen bro down still has the potential to be shot down by HBO studio heads, who are hedging their bets by saying they’ve only heard a ” very general pitch ” and will have to see a finished script before committing to the film. Sounds like somebody needs to hug it out. Join the Entourage with nude pics and clips of all the sexy starlets and gorgeous groupies from the HBO series right here at MrSkin.com!

Lil Wayne Holds On To Top Billboard Spot

Tha Carter IV is still #1 despite sharp drop-off in sales. By Gil Kaufman Lil Wayne Photo: C. Flanigan/ WireImage Lil Wayne will make it an easy two in a row at the top of the Billboard 200 chart with Tha Carter IV next week, when the album holds on to the #1 spot thanks to sales of 219,000. After just missing out on moving 1 million copies in its debut, the disc easily passed the mark, approaching 1.2 million even as sales dove 77 percent in the second go-round. Suffering an equally big drop was the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ I’m With You, which lost 75 percent of its first-week business, moving down three spots to #5 as sales reached nearly 288,000. Among the new faces in the top 10 are country giant George Strait , whose Here for a Good Time debuts at #3 on sales of 91,000, and the Beatles ‘ 1, which shoots back into the #4 position thanks to a remastered physical and first-time digital release that helped it move 60,000 units. But the week’s biggest gainer is Maroon 5 ‘s year-old Hands All Over, which has gotten a major boost thanks to a re-released version with the new top 10 hit “Moves Like Jagger.” The disc climbs another 16 slots to #7 as sales picked up by 97 percent to 29,000. The rest of the top 10: Adele, 21 (#2, 121,000), Jay-Z and Kanye West , Watch the Throne (#6, 49,000), NOW 39 (#8, 27,000), Beyonc

‘Star Trek 2’ Officially Lands J.J. Abrams As Director

Helmer of the 2009 franchise could begin shooting this winter, according to reports. By Gil Kaufman J.J. Abrams Photo: Getty Images Sometimes, if you wait long enough (and blog hard enough), the universe will hear your cries of anguish and soothe them with a big glass of thirst-quenching Romulan Ale. Or, better yet, provide confirmation that J.J. Abrams has finally committed to directing the “Star Trek” sequel. Either way, you’re pretty psyched. After indicating that he was still up in the air about directing the anticipated sequel to his wildly successful reboot of the space franchise, New York Magazine’s Vulture blog is reporting that Abrams is onboard and that pre-production is under way. Citing unnamed insiders familiar with the “Super 8” director’s plans, Vulture reported that the script is expected to be done by month’s end and that shooting could begin this winter. Entertainment Weekly confirmed the news on Wednesday (September 14). Abrams recently finished shooting the fourth “Mission: Impossible” movie, “Ghost Protocol” — which again stars Tom Cruise, along with Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner, Josh Holloway and Paula Patton — has hedged in the past about whether he would take up another tour on the Enterprise before a killer script was in place. In August, he told Collider , “Once you say, ‘We’re ready to go, but we don’t have a finished script yet,’ or, ‘I’m directing the thing and here’s the release date, but we don’t have a finished script,’ what starts to happen is that you’re suddenly in production on a movie where you’re thinking, ‘Oh my God, we weren’t really ready!’ ” In July, producer/screenwriter Damon Lindelof told MTV News that work has continued on the script, even as the director’s chair question remained up in the air. “There was a lot of work going on over the course of the last year between Bob [Orci] and Alex [Kurtzman] and I,” he said. “We generated, like, a 90-page half-script half-treatment based on some meetings that we’ve had with J.J [Abrams]. Now that J.J. is finally finished with ‘Super 8’ we’ve kind of, not thrown out that material, but we’re reworking a lot of it.” Describing how the four writers wrote the original movie, Lindelof said, “Those four people sort of sitting in a room bouncing ideas off each other, challenging those ideas, sort of shaking the tree.” At the time, he said the idea was to get back to that form of creative thinking. “Because ‘Trek 2’ has to be better than ‘Trek 1,’ ” he said, likening the sequel to the increase in quality from the already great “Batman Begins” to the exceptional “The Dark Knight.” “It has to.” He said at the time that they were working hard to make a great leap forward in storytelling. “We are deep into that process now and writing.” A spokesperson for Paramount Pictures could not be reached for comment at press time.
