Eric Snowden Offered Asylum According to CNN Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has offered asylum to U.S. intelligence leaker Edward Snowden, the state-run AVN news agency reported Friday, without offering details. The report came shortly after Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega said he would grant Snowden asylum in his country “if the circumstances permit.” Ortega didn’t elaborate on his announcement, made during a speech in Managua, except to say his country is “open and respectful to the right of asylum.” “It’s clear that that if the circumstances permit it we will gladly receive Snowden and will grant him asylum here in Nicaragua,” Ortega said. Meanwhile, an Icelandic lawmaker said Snowden would not get citizenship there, as he had requested, because Iceland’s parliament refused to vote on an asylum proposal before ending its current session. Now we’ve learned those nuptials took place last Sunday while the entertainment world was busy with the BET Awards. Via NYDailyNews reports : Beyonce has a new addition to her family. The singer and mother of one now has — a stepmother. Beyonce’s father and former manager, Mathew Knowles, got married last Sunday. His representative on Friday said he wed real estate agent and former model Gena Charmaine Avery, 48, in Houston. The couple had been engaged for a year and a half. The 61-year-old Knowles guided his daughter to superstardom with the group Destiny’s Child and later in her solo career. She released him as her manager in 2011. Beyonce and her rapper husband, Jay-Z, have one daughter, Blue Ivy. Of late, the curvy singer has been brushing off rampant rumors that she’s pregnant. Knowles, head of Music World Entertainment, still manages several gospel acts including Grammy-winner Le’Andria Johnson. He and Beyonce’s mother, Tina, divorced in 2009 after 29 years of marriage and two children — Beyonce and her sister, fellow singer Solange. Congratulations to the happy couple. Adele, Baby Bump Deny Wedding Rumors

Mom-to-be Adele is flaunting her pregnancy … and denying she’s secretly married. The 24-year-old Grammy-winner stepped out with boyfriend Simon Konecki in London on Tuesday wearing a long, tight black dress that showed off her baby bump. Adele wore flats for her walk and a long blue sweater with her soon-to-be baby daddy, a nonprofit CEO, in tow. Simon, 38, got Adele pregnant earlier this year. The “Someone Like You” singer confirmed in July she is expecting her first child with Konecki, who is already a father to a daughter with ex-wife Clary Fisher. She also confirmed that she is NOT engaged or married to Simon Konecki . Rumors swirled last week that the couple of nine months had secretly gotten engaged and/or hitched, but Adele Tweeted, “I’m not married … Zzzzzzz.” So there you go. Still, wedding bells may be on the horizon at some point. We’re talking about Carrie Underwood, American Idol winner turned American country sensation and universal cutie. She’s 27 today. Happy birthday, Carrie! On top of being a terrific talent with 10 million-plus record sales to her name, the product of Checotah, Oklahoma, is smart, sexy and even down to earth. What a combination!
