But, according to court documents, they stopped paying rent in December, so their landlord gave them an eviction notice and took them to court. Teen Mom lovers/parents/step-siblings Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have been evicted from their apartment in Marine City, Michigan. The reason? Not paying rent. That#39;ll do it. It didn#39;t turn out well

‘My involvement is just to be as supportive as I can be,’ former ‘Iron Man’ director tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian Jon Favreau Photo: MTV News When Jon Favreau bowed out of the “Iron Man” franchise in December, the filmmaker made clear he remained on good terms with Marvel execs and that he’d stay within the studio family as an executive producer on the upcoming superhero all-star flick, “The Avengers.” But with Favreau busy with directorial duties on the alien-Western hybrid “Cowboys & Aliens” and prep work on “Magic Kingdom,” his Disney World-set family picture, it remained to be seen how involved he’d be with “Avengers,” which kicked off filming in April. Now, as the “Avengers” teaser trailer has leaked (after appearing in the post-credits sequence of “Captain America”) and fans have gotten their first look at what director Joss Whedon has done with that collection of superheroes, we’re also getting an idea of Favreau’s role in the action. “My involvement is just to be as supportive as I can be. Most of the cast is people that came onboard to work with me on the ‘Iron Man’ film, so I feel a sense of responsibility to them. I really hope it works out,” Favreau told MTV News while promoting “Cowboys & Aliens.” “I’m not in the trenches with them and I’m not making creative decisions on their behalf, but I’m completely available and of service.” That’s a far cry from how fans might have thought things would play out back in 2008, when Favreau said he’d be open to directing “Avengers.” But in October 2009, MTV News broke the news he wouldn’t be helming the film, and after “Iron Man 2″ hit theaters last year, he ceded directorial duties on that franchise to Shane Black . These days, Favreau said Whedon is a far better choice to direct “Avengers” than he ever would be. “They have Joss Whedon, who’s a very talented guy and is really good with ensembles and really understands the superhero genre better than I do,” Favreau explained. “I understand ‘Iron Man’ very, very well, especially the ‘Iron Man’ movie and the cast and the characters all built to one thing. But there are other characters that I don’t know. Each filmmaker had a different approach to how they went about it — ‘Captain America’ is coming out, ‘Thor.’ The combining of all those things is going to be its own thing in and of itself that Joss has embraced and wrote the script. I expect big things.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Avengers.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com .
‘American Idol’ alum says she’s well into recording her yet-untitled, R&B-flavored debut. By Gil Kaufman Pia Toscano Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images You can’t blame Pia Toscano for being angry. The “American Idol” season 10 finalist was shockingly bumped from the competition in ninth place, though many viewers and experts suspected it was not the last time they would see — or hear from — the raven-haired singer. After Toscano scored a major-label deal with Interscope Records — making her the first ninth-place eliminee in “Idol” history to pull off such a feat — the 22-year-old New Yorker made it clear on her first single, “This Time,” that she’s determined to do things her way. “The song could pertain to ‘American Idol’ and my journey on the show,” Toscano told MTV News about the double meaning some fans and critics have found in the empowerment anthem’s lyrics about shaking off a guy (or a voting bloc) who did her wrong. “It’s a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, and it’s not just a breakup song.” The tune, with a heavy R&B beat and a twinge of twang that might not be out of place in a Carrie Underwood foot-stomper, was written by Ester Dean, who has made similarly smart anthems for Rihanna (“S&M,” “Rude Boy”) and Nicki Minaj (“Superbass”). Though she said no specific breakup in her past inspired the tune, Toscano — who is reportedly dating “Dancing With the Stars” pro Mark Ballas — said she felt like it suited her well and might just reflect on some things that have happened to her in the past. “I can 100 percent relate to it whether it’s about a relationship or my journey on ‘Idol,’ ” Toscano said as she navigated her way through an airport on her way to an Idols Live! Tour date in Oklahoma City. What’s ironic about the song is that Underwood-esque country twang mixed with an R&B backbeat, which gives it a sound like the kind of contemporary pop/country tunes you might expect from “Idol” runner-up Lauren Alaina. In it, she sings that she’s “mad as hell, ain’t gonna take it no more” and that she’s “gonna free herself.” “This time, I’m gonna do it my way/ This time, I’m finding out the hard way,” Toscano sings on the chorus. The former makeup artist said that’s just a preview of the range of sounds you can expect to hear on her yet-untitled debut, due in the fall. “It’s not just one thing, not pop or R&B,” she said, promising that “This Time” is an anomaly and she won’t be encroaching on Alaina’s or winner Scotty McCreery’s country airspace. “It will be pop with an R&B influence, with an edge,” she said of the album. “It will be soulful and powerful.” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions.
Believe it or not, VH1 was not always known for embarrassing reality shows. The network will actually return one of its more popular, innovative programs on June 29, when Behind the Music premieres with an episode dedicated to Missy Elliott. We’re most excited about the August 10 installment, however. On that date, Adam Lambert will be featured, as his official site teases “never-before-seen home video footage, interviews with family, friends… and a sneak peak into the studio while working on his second studio album.” Adam Lambert – Soaked (Live) Here’s a look at the full Behind the Music lineup: June 29: Missy Elliott July 6: Ice Cube July 13: Miranda Lambert July 20: Nelly July 27: Mary J Blige August 3: Enrique Iglesias August 10: Adam Lambert August 17: Ricky Martin
Vinny Guadagnino has returned to Jersey Shore. His self-imposed hiatus at home on Staten Island lasted roughly 10 days, but he’s reportedly back in the mix. The reality star enjoyed dinner and drinks over the weekend in Seaside Heights with his roommates, who banded together in an attempt to woo him back . After Vinny peaced out July 4th weekend, he said he was done with Jersey Shore . Apparently he had a change of heart after dining with Snooki & Co. The cast, who just returned from filming Season 4 in Italy, was put right to work on Season 5 back in the Garden State. Tension arose early and often. Vinny left following an altercation with a cast member, the details of which have not been made public. But it sounds like that was the tip of the iceberg. Guadagnino was reportedly not happy being bossed around by MTV execs, and threatened to leave, saying he was “homesick” and feeling “burned out.” The Situation stirred up similar reports when he ripped off his mic and walked off the set last week after an altercation with his co-stars and producers. In any case, Guadagnino returned . Sitch is still MIA. Stay tuned. [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
A judge is considering whether to unseal a video of Casey Anthony considered so inflammatory that it would have infringed upon her right to a fair trial. The jailhouse video shows Anthony reacting to news reports that a child’s body had been found in a swampy area near the family’s Florida property. The tape reportedly shows Casey doubled over and hyperventilating when Orange County jail officials reveal that a body was found near the home. Too inflammatory to be played for a jury? What the heck is on that tape? It’s not like the videos that were played (such as below) were flattering … Casey Anthony Jail Video At the time of the December 11, 2008 video, the body was not yet identified as the remains of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony. The court took what is called an “unusual step” and sealed the video on June 17, 2009 claiming the public seeing it would violate Casey’s rights. The court “could not absolutely protect the defendant’s right to a fair trial” if the “inflammatory” tape got out, according to the order to seal it . Casey Anthony was found not guilty last week of charges of killing Caylee and is now scheduled to be released from jail this Sunday night. Regarding the video and whether it will be released now, Orlando television station WKMG-TV Local 6 filed the request to unseal the tape. WKMG-TV made the request July 6, arguing “that with the jury is sequestered, no prejudice to the defendant’s right to a fair trial could incur.” While other pieces of evidence could be seen as damaging, the court said “no other item … would carry a similar inflammatory impact.” If released, the tape could spark more outrage surrounding the verdict. Casey Anthony death threats have been common in recent days. In the past week, the jury , Anthony family and Judge Belvin Perry have received threats regarding the case in addition to Casey herself. Anthony’s highly-anticipated release from jail on Sunday has already prompted concerns for her safety and calls for extra protection.
