Your heart breaks a little for the reality star and budding author. On March 14th, Kristin Cavallari attended the BELLA New York March/April 2016 Ladies Night Out cover launch party at Punto Space in New York City. The event fell on the eve of her book release, Balancing In Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making it all Work. People Magazine asked how the reality star was doing in the months after her brother’s untimely death; Michael Cavallari’s body was found a few miles from his abandoned car in the Utah desert in December. “I’m okay. I’m going to have good days and bad days, but I’ve really found a lot of strength in my kids, especially Saylor. “I couldn’t just fall apart — I had a little baby to look after,” Cavallari admitted, referring to her infant daughter with husband Jay Cutler. Saylor James was born on November 23rd, just three weeks before authorities found Michael’s body. “When you lose someone, it really makes you realize how precious life is, and so I’m just thankful that I have my babies and I’m thankful for everything in my life.” After her brother’s passing, Cavallari sent out a touching Instagram dedicated to Saylor . “My little angel, Saylor. She has been my light throughout this whole thing and has given me so much strength,” Cavallari wrote. “Thank you baby girl for coming when u did.”
