“Sir Tom was released from hospital [Tuesday] and is now in very good health,” said a rep for the 71-year-old entertainer. Happy 49th Birthday, Tom Cruise!

Tom Cruise starred in Born on the Fourth of July . In real life, he was born on the third, and yesterday, wife Katie Holmes surprised him with a surprise 49th birthday bash at Miami Beach’s SoHo Beach House. Cruise’s three kids – Suri, with Katie, and Connor and Isabella, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman – were all there to celebrate, along with 40 close friends. The bash took place on the roof and inside the private venue, where guests enjoyed pasta, shrimp and other Italian dishes, in addition to chocolate cake. Tom Cruise is in Florida now filming Rock of Ages . He’s been a Hollywood rock star himself for almost three decades, with no signs of slowing down. Friday Box Office: Transformers Continues Assault, Larry Crowne Flops

All hail Megatron! While Transformers: Dark of the Moon earned “just” $33.5 million on Friday night — 15 percent behind what Revenge of the Fallen grabbed on its first Friday in 2009 — the Michael Bay-directed explosion orgy is on track to bank $185 million through its first seven days. That might be disappointing, until you consider the foreign grosses, which are expected to top $200 million over the same timeframe. The outlook isn’t as rosy for Larry Crowne : the film crashed its moped into fourth place on the chart, and won’t top $20 million for the weekend. Your Friday box office is here.

They’re no denying it any longer: Delta Goodrem and Nick Jonas are totally a couple! The pair were spotted in Bali this week, attending a songwriting camp while on the Indonesian island, according to a People Magazine insider. “I have been so blessed,” Nick Tweeted Monday while posing for a photo with his 26-year old girlfriend. “So many great things happening.” Witnesses spotted Goodrem and Jonas getting a meal at The Beach Club at Sandy Bay on Nusa Lembongan, an island just off the coast of Bali. They are now back in the States. With Delta by his side, we’re guessing Nick doesn’t really care what Selena Gomez says about him .
