Vanessa Bryant ‘s divorce from Kobe may not be final until 2012, but that’s not stopping her from spending some personal time with another professional athlete. She was recently spotted in Marina Del Rey, CA enjoying a meal with boxer Victor Ortiz , and they seemed very familiar with each other. If the reports about them dating are true, then that kills the “Once you go Black, you never go back” myth, because like Vanessa, Victor is Mexican. Whatever Vanessa is or isn’t up to, it’s nice to see that she’s enjoying life in the midst of divorcing Kobe. It’s been a long run for the “X-Factor USA” contestants and it all came to an end last night on the season finale. After a long couple months of tears, dance moves and Astro’s antics, this star studded finale showed us who was America’s next breakout star, and that star is 19 year old Melanie Amaro. Melanie faced off in the with Josh Krajcik after Chris Rene was given the third place spot. After a long pause of waiting, surprise performances from Justin Beiber, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, 50 Cent and many more, plus the suspense and task of tallying up votes, it was announced that Melanie was the winner of the competition, recipient of a $5 million recording contract, star in a new Pepsi commercial and undoubtedly America’s favorite. When Melanie received the news that she was the winner of the singing competition, she couldn’t help but to fall to her knees and thank God, while fighting back tears. I was so incredibly happy to see Melanie win, and felt that by her response that she was definitely the best woman for this job. To close out the show last night, Melanie performed Beyonce’s “Listen” for the audience one last time before taking her official reign as the “X-Factor’s first winner”. Congratulations to Melanie Amaro and we all can’t wait to see how you’re going to turn this music industry upside down! Melanie’s final words before exiting the stage: “Thank you so much!
