Rihanna celebrated her 23rd birthday yesterday. For such a young age, the Barbados native has amassed a huge number of hit songs. She’s also drastically altered her image in the last couple of years, shedding her innocent appeal in favor of a harder, edgier, hyper-sexual persona. It’s as if the message is to say, in short, you can’t keep this girl down, Chris Brown , and you ain’t gettin’ any of this ever again. Punk. Whatever you think of the style chameleon personally, her musical success is undeniable.
