Meet “The Prancing Elites”: Male Dancing Divas Get Their Own Oxygen Docuseries

“The Prancing Elites Project” On Oxygen This African American, gay and gender non-conforming dance team comprised of Adrian Clemons, Kentrell Collins, Kareem Davis, Jerel Maddox and Timothy Smith is challenging societal norms while overcoming several obstacles with passion and wit on their journey to be their authentic selves. The series delves into the personal lives of these five best friends in Mobile, Alabama as they fight to be accepted in the female-dominated dance culture of J-Setting. Currently excluded from competitions and banned from participating in several hometown and national parades, The Prancing Elites seek other ways to showcase their talent from dancing in the stands at college football games to performing on a boat cruise. Despite professional rejections, family disapproval and tensions, personal health crises and heartbreak, the group won’t let anything stand in their way as they continue to lift one another up and band together in the face of adversity. Hoping to build a name for themselves outside the walls of Mobile, this dream team is determined to see their name in lights and go wherever the music takes them. “The Prancing Elites Project” premieres Wednesday, April 22 at 10PM ET/PT. Will you be watching??

For All You Pierced And Tatted Up People With Stank Breath In The Workplace: 11 Corporate Dress Code “No Nos” To Avoid

Does your job have a strict or relaxed dress code??? Corporate dress code policies have swung to the extreme in recent years. Companies either maintain no guidelines at all or establish such rigid policies that they almost appear to be elaborate pranks. American Apparel’s infamous corporate policy, for instance, forbids shiny lip-gloss, bangs, and notes that “blow-drying hair excessively could cause heat damage.” Similarly, financial bank UBS dictates women “may wear no more than seven jewels” and “scarves are compulsory, and must be tied with ‘authorized knots.’” There are differences in opinions of men versus women having tattoos. Men are allowed to be a little rebellious and punk rock (both men and women have some admiration for a “bad boy”), where as, women, not so much. While societal norms are shifting, it’s happening slowly. Women can be wild in private but should still be ladylike in public, and visible tattoos make that impossible in some people’s eyes.
