Eight Koreans Found Dead In A Separate Apparent Group Suicide

Police reported on Thursday that eight South Koreans were found dead in two separate cases of suspected group suicide. Five of them, four women and one man, inhaled toxic fumes together in a parked car. They are said to be in their 20s and 30s. The officials presumed that they have inhaled the fumes by burning coal briquettes inside a parked car in Hwaseong. The place of incident is located just south of Seoul. Song Ui-chan said that two of the five left suicide notes, but declined to give further information regarding the content of the notes. Meanwhile, an investigation is under way to find out whether the five met and planned a suicide pact. However, another group suicide was found separately. Three men were also found dead hours later in Chuncheon, almost 85kilometers east of Seoul.
