Kendrick Lamar didn’t just threaten to murder rappers on Big Sean’s new track “Control.” He full-on OWNED Drake, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller … even Lindsay Lohan. This isn’t your standard rap battle diss track. It’s a pointed, blunt, biting, NSFW lyrical indictment of the superficiality of hip hop and celebrity culture. Big Sean – Control Ft. Kendrick Lamar Drake, A$AP, Mac Miller and others? You got took. HARD. Perhaps the most notable lyrical gem is this one, though, challenging his friends and fellow rappers and likening them to Lindsay Lohan of all people: “Mollies’ll prolly turn n****s to f***in’ Lindsay Lohan / Bunch of rich ass white girls lookin’ for parties / Playin with Barbies, wreck the Porsche before you give ’em the car key.” If he had to translate that … the temptations of a lavish lifestyle (money, drugs, women, fame) are turning grown men into “a bunch of rich ass white girls.” Even his alleged friends like Drake are not immune from acting like spoiled little babies and taking their wealth, power and influence for granted. You know, like LiLo. At least that’s how we hear it. Lest you weren’t clear who he was calling out … he names names: “And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake .” “Big Sean, Jay Electron, Tyler, Mac Miller. I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you niggas, trine make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas.” You. Got. Served. Check out the track above (Lamar’s verse beginning at the 3:00 mark) and experience the epic display of shade throwing for yourself.
