MUNICH — U2 singer Bono underwent an emergency back surgery on Friday for an injury he sustained while preparing for the band’s upcoming concert tour run. According to a statement on the Irish band’s official Web site, Bono was admitted to a specialist neuro surgery unit in a Munich hospital, where he is under the care of neuro surgeon Prof. Dr. Jorg Tonn and Dr Muller Wohlfahrt.
