Khloe Kardashian Returns to App, Thanks "Dolls" for Support

Khloe Kardashian is doing her best to return to a normal life. The reality star has spent nearly two weeks by the hospital bedside of Lamar Odom , following her estranged husband’s drug overdose and subsequent coma. But Odom has now been transferred from Las Vegas to Khloe’s home city of Los Angeles, making small steps toward a hopeful full recovery. This has allowed Kardashian to spend some time away from Lamar. She attended sister Kim’s pajama-themed baby shower on Sunday, for example. On Saturday, Khloe also Tweeted a behind-the-scenes video from the photo shoot for her upcoming book (for which she just canceled a tour ), along with a link to her app. And how Khloe has shared a message on that app to her fans, signaling her return to the World Wide Web and making it clear that she’s gracious for all their well wishes. “Thank you dolls SO much for your patience while I needed some time off,” Kardashian wrote. “I’m excited to be back in the mix bringing you some awesome content. Your love and support has meant the world to me.” Odom remains in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. According to recent report, cocaine was found in his system following many days spent partying at a legal brothel in Nevada. While Lamar’s initial odds for survival were barely 50/50, and while his motor skills appear to have been negatively affected by 12 strokes , Khloe and other loved ones do now have a reason to hope. With Khloe’s self-help memoir, “Strong Looks Better Naked,” due out on November 3, we’ll likely be hearing a lot more from the past, current and future Mrs. Lamar Odom in the coming days and week. Lamar Odom Tests Positive For Cocaine; Will He Be Prosecuted?

It’s not exactly shocking that Lamar Odom had cocaine in his system when he nearly died from an overdose at a Nevada brothel. Most of us assumed as much, but didn’t know for sure. Until now: News media and fans alike were only speculating about the cause of Odom’s twelve strokes before the newly-released toxicology report. That report could spell trouble for Lamar, too. TMZ is reporting that Odom tested positive for cocaine according to lab results that were just turned over to law enforcement today. Nye County sheriff Sharon Wehrly previously said she plans to prosecute if there is evidence that Lamar was using illegal drugs on the night he OD’d. Yes, you may not expect it from the state that’s home Sin City and legal prostitution, but Nevada has some pretty tough drug laws. As a result, the 35-year-old athlete may find himself forced to go before a judge once he’s able to leave a Los Angeles hospital. View Slideshow: Lamar Odom: A Timeline of Tragedy Fortunately for Khloe Kardashian’s husband, even if he’s prosecuted for the alleged offense, it’s unlikely that Odom will do jail time. While cocaine possession can carry 1-4 year sentence, first-time offenders like Lamar usually get off with counseling and probation. We don’t think the authorities need to worry about the former NBA star using again after cheating death and facing months of rehab. Not only has he already learned a hard lesson, Odom knows that Khloe Kardashian will leave him if he gets mixed up in drugs again. The couple called off their divorce, which needed only a judge’s signature to be final, after he swore he would stay clean for good. Time will tell. Ewwww Another Adult Film Star Tests Positive For HIV While freaky flick actors continue to protest the mandate requiring them to use condoms while filming, yet ANOTHER one of their own has contracted HIV while on set. via Fox News California public health officials issued an alert Monday after finding “very strong evidence” that an adult film actor became infected with HIV as a result of unprotected sex on an out-of-state film shoot. The Department of Public Health said the male actor tested positive for the virus that causes AIDS after engaging in unprotected sex with several other male actors during two separate film shoots. He had tested negative before the shoot. “During the second film shoot, he had symptoms of a viral infection,” the alert states. “The actor went to a clinic and had another blood test that showed he had recently become infected with HIV.” One actor from the second shoot has since tested positive for HIV. According to the health department, lab results indicate the first actor who tested positive “probably transmitted” HIV to the second. A health department official was unable to immediately release further details regarding the lab testing and investigation. The alert notes that very early in an HIV infection, the test can be negative “even though the actor really does have HIV.” This is just gross….SMH. Continue reading →

Day Care Owner Arrested After Toddler Tests Positive For Drugs According to The NY Daily News A Californian woman’s mice-dropping infested day care center was shut down after a toddler in her care was hospitalized for sticky icky use, authorities said. Roubena Hartounian, 50, was arrested Wednesday for child neglect and endangerment at Bina’s Family Child Care. The building was determined uninhabitable and contained sticky icky pipes, said Sgt. Tom Lorenz of the Glendale Police Department. “We are still trying to determine whether the marijuana was consumed there … if we can make that connection,” Lorenz told the Daily News. The 2-year-old girl’s parents dropped her off at the day care in La Crescenta on Tuesday morning. But when they picked her up later that day she was unresponsive, police said. The parents took their daughter to a nearby hospital about midnight where she tested positive for THC, the active ingredient in cannabis that produces psychoactive effects. “They learned that the last person to have the kid in their care, aside from the parents, was at the day care facility,” Lorenz said. The following day, police went to the center and waited for Hartounian to show up so they could serve a search warrant. She arrived about 6:30 a.m. “Code enforcement officials came out to the property, and yellow tagged it as uninhabitable,” Lorenz said. He said the building did not have functioning toilets or electricity and that the shabby kitchen was littered with dirty dishes and improperly stored knives. “Food was not properly cared for and there were knives on the counter that kids could get to,” he said.
