Google pays gay workers extra

Google has begun paying extra to its gay employees in the US to compensate them for additional taxes on their benefits The search engine giant yesterday adjusted the pay packets of employees in same sex relationships to offset income tax they have to pay on health insurance for their partners Gay couples have also been given the same rights as heterosexuals to take off from work for family or medical reasons, Cynthia Yeung of the Google's strategic development team said in a blog post. added by: maasanova
