WASHINGTON — President Obama on Sunday thanked House members for their “courageous vote” in approving the sweeping overhaul of the nation’s health care system “Moments like this are why they sent us here,” he said of the American public. On Saturday night, the House narrowly approved the bill, 220-215, advancing legislation that Democrats said could stand as their defining social policy achievement.
