It’s been over two weeks since Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in her bathtub in her Atlanta area home. The cause of the 21-year-old’s near-drowning is still unknown, but both drug use and foul play are among the possibilities being investigated by authorities. There were rumors that Bobbi Kristina was spending $5,000 a week on drugs in recent months, and unspecified narcotics were found in her home, though not in the room where she was discovered. Now, more evidence that may point to a drug-related mishap has emerged, as Radar Online is reporting that one of Bobbi Kristina’s best friends died of a heroin overdose less than a year ago, and Brown may have been associated with the three men who have been arrested in connection with her death. Chelsea Bennett passed away from an overdose back in March, and her death has been ruled a homicide, as she was allegedly injected by someone else, and she was left unconscious for more than ten hours before someone finally dialed 911. Given the fact that Bobbi was reportedly “best friends” with Bennett and maintained ties with the men who were charged in her death, it’s understandable that many are wondering if the unsavory figures currently under suspicion in Brown’s near-drowning might have employed similar tactics in order to maintain the appearance of an accidental overdose. Bobbi’s longtime partner Nick Gordon is under investigation and has apparently refused to speak with police unless he is placed under arrest. We may never know for certain what exactly caused Bobbi Kristina to lose consciousness while bathing on January 31, and this latest development may only serve to further confuse this increasingly tragic story.
