Dancing With the Stars Recap: Does Sean Spicer Not Suck?!?

Disneyland is known as The Happiest Place on Earth. And yet, following a Dancing With the Stars episode that took place at this resort and during which the contestant performed Disney-themed routines,  not everyone walked away with a smile on his or her face. Starting with Carrie Ann Inaba. The veteran judge went viral on Monday night shortly after she gave her critique of Kate Flannery’s jazz routine to “A Spoonful of Sugar” from Mary Poppins with her partner, Pasha Pashkov. When Tom Bergeron pointed out that one of the dancing duo’s broom props was near the judge’s table, Inaba bent over to get a closer look at the item. And then? TIMBER! As Inaba went to sit, her chair moved backward and she fell down, prompting Flannery and Pashkov to rush to her side. Thankfully, Inaba was just fine and the show continued. Who exceled and who nearly embarrassed themselves as much as Inaba? Scroll down to find out… Sailor Brinkley-Cook & Val Chmerkovskiy : The Viennese Waltz was Sailor’s best dance yet, as she did Cinderella proud with a total score of 24. Karamo Brown & Jenna Johson : Brown still has some technique issues to work through, but the African elements added to his Samba helped it stand out and gained a 21. Kate Flannery & Pasha Pashkov : This jazz routine went up a notch when the actress shifted into the quickstep portion. She remains a front-runner after notching a 24. Sean Spicer & Lindsay Arnold : This Quickstep wasn’t all that quick, but Spicer loosened up just a tiny bit, thanks to his partner yelling at him throughout. They earned a 19. Ally Brooke & Sasha Farber : Bravo all around! The partners were totally in sync for their Contemporary routine, prompting the judges to hand out their first 9’s of the season — each! 27 points! Lauren Alaina & Gleb Savchenko : The country singer never seemed totally comfortable with her Samba, most notably lacking enthusiasm when it came to her hip action. Lack of sensuality led to a score of 23. Kel Mitchell & Witney Carson : What an entertaining Jazz routine! Kel came out with tons of swagger and his smile was contagious. Dude also breakdanced at one point. 26 points! Hannah Brown & Alan Bersten : This was an elegant Foxtroy. The Bachelorette was practically floating through the air as she gracefully  earned 25 points. James Van Der Beek & Emma Slater : They closed the night with a strong Paso Doble, as the actor embodied his character with confidence and showmanship, garnering 26 points. Talk about a competitive season, huh? No duds, not definitive favorites — and no one eliminated on Monday. Who will be the next to go when the time comes? You tell us!
