The stop-start nature of the video makes for a bit of a disjointed experience, and there are also moments in which Jay Z’s voice is intentionally slowed down. But that’s precisely the idea of “Holy Grail,” which strives to bring together a set of cinematic images in an artistic display that is nothing short of groundbreaking.
