Source: ak_phuong / Getty Details Remain Fuzzy About The Incident A major tragedy happened on Trump property when a window washer fell to his death from the 64-story Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. According to United Press International , the unidentified worker was pronounced dead on Wednesday at the University Medical Center after the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m at the luxury hotel, condominium and timeshare on the Las Vegas Strip. It’s yet to be determined which floor or which side of the building the employee fell from. However, one guy said the worker was trying to swing around the corner of the tower. He was not an employee of the hotel, but a third party. According to the Las Vegas Trauma Intervention Program on Twitter, a crisis support volunteer came to the scene of the accident “to provide emotional and practical support to several individuals who witnessed the fatal fall earlier today.” The golden-glass building opened in 2008 and it’s home to 1,282 rooms according to the hotel’s site . The hotel is the third tallest completed structure in Las Vegas, standing at 640 feet. Trump International officials released a statement about the tragedy: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the incident today. We are working diligently with the owner of the third-party company to investigate the details. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family.”

This Florida highway patrol trooper literally put his life on the line to save a stranger from getting hit by an out of control car. According to NY Daily News , Highway Patrol Trooper Mithil Patel, 31, was speaking to Rony Bottex, 65, when he saw a car on scene spin out of control and was struck. Patel was in stable condition at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach Monday night. He will likely be released from the hospital Tuesday. Hit play to see how the incident was caught on video.
As previously reported in sad detail, Tom Petty died on Monday evening at the age of 66. The rock legend suffered a cardiac arrest and was found unconscious, prior to be taken to the hospital, where he was placed on life support for a few hours before passing away. Immediately after news of Petty’s death spread, tributes came pouring in; from the music industry and far beyond. An endless array of people, from all walks of life, were touched by Petty’s memorable songs. But no tribute compares to that of AnnaKim Violette, the youngest of the late singer’s two daughters. A mere week ago, Petty took the stage at the Hollywood Bowl in what would end up being his final live show… although no one in the audience, of course, was aware of it at the time. Violette was in attendance that evening. And she remembered it ever so fondly in a lengthy Instagram post she shared on Tuesday. “One week ago today I was watching my dad play. We showed up rushed to our seats,” Violette wrote online, admitting candidly: “I got stoned had a beer the lights went dark. Sat watching realizing I grew up on these songs. Everyone grew up on these songs.” She continued, gushing over someone who was both her personal hero and a musical hero to so many fans out there. “This is real American Art made from the roots of real people who deeply love life,” Violette wrote. “My father loves music more than anything and always put music first. It’s going to be healing to know I will never go a day without hearing his music. “I love his class honesty and how strange and funny he is. Tom Petty is an American Icon because his heart has always put human rights first. “We are one. I love you dad. Your songs are dreams manifested.” In a second post, Violette chronicled what she referred to as “the longest day of my life,” as her father was being treated at the UCLA Medical Center at Santa Monica. To feel as close as she could to Petty, she donned a jacket emblazoned with hearts and skulls that he’d made for her many years ago to match his concert ensembles. Violette completed her social media tributes with a few photos of Petty in his heyday, memorializing her father as “a bad ass motherf-cker” and “magical human” who forever altered the course of American music. He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of this morning and was taken to UCLA Medical Center but could not be revived. He died peacefully at 8:40 p.m. PT surrounded by family, his bandmates and friends.”

According to CBS12 , Compton’s c-walkin’ tennis champion Serena Williams has gone into labor in Palm Beach, Florida. Williams has been admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center where she is expected to give birth today. The hospital has cleared the entire first floor so that Serena and soon-to-be husband Alexis Ohanian can have secured privacy. If you remember, Serena accidentally announced her pregnancy back in April via a Snapchat gone wrong. The sex of the baby has not be revealed to Serena or Alexis, Williams told VOGUE that she was hoping for a baby girl: ‘I told Alexis it has to be a girl because there I was playing in 100-degree weather, and that baby never gave me any trouble. Suge Knight Hospitalized For Blood Clots As you probably know by now, Suge Knight has been having a rough go of it for the last couple years while he’s been in prison. Plagued by multiple health issues and even rumored blindness while facing the judge off and on in the criminal death of his former friend . Now the former Death Row exec is back in the hospital for a chronic condition that has been plaguing him for 2 years. According to TMZ , Suge has been taken to USC Medical Center for treatement for his blood clots. Apparently, Suge’s been in solitary confinement and has frequently complained that the conditions are having a negative effect on his health. He’s been in and out of the hospital several times while his trial has dragged on over the last two years. He’s in stable condition at the moment…but seeing as how he’ll likely be headed right back to solitary once he’s out of the doctors’ care, who knows how long his healthy streak will last?. Splash

Apparently, Auntie Tomasina was injured last month after shucking and jiving too much so her leg was placed in a walking boot. Alan Thicke Pronounced Dead From Heart Attack Alan Thicke, the television dad and father of singer Robin Thicke has passed away today due to a heart attack. Alan Thicke, 59, was playing a game of hockey with his 19-year-old son when he experienced a fatal heart attack according to TMZ . He was pronounced dead after being transported to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank, Ca. Alan fathered 3 sons, Robin, Brennan and Carter and is survived by his wife, Tanya. Two days before his death, Tanya shared a happy photo with her husband on instagram. Alan Thicke was most known for his role as Jason Seaver on Growing Pains. Tarek and Christina El Moussa have flamed out in frightening fashion. As previously reported, the Flip or Flop co-hosts separated in May amidst an incident that involved multiple guns and an alleged suicide attempt. According to TMZ insiders, a 911 call was placed after Tarek fled his residence while armed, prompting Christina to fear that her husband was going to kill himself. Authorities responded en masse to the incident, with 11 deputies and a helicopter being dispatched to the couple’s Orange County home. Multiple onlookers say that Tarek was spotted (with a gun), fleeing down a hiking trail. He was quickly followed by a sobbing Christina, who was visibly shaken up. After Tarek was ordered to relinquish his weapon, he told law enforcement officials on the scene that he simply wanted to “blow off some steam.” El Moussa grabbed the weapon to fend off any animals he may have encountered, he said, and was not in that bad of a mindset. He said he has no intention of hurting himself or anyone else. Deputies searched the couple’s home and seized five guns, including an AR-15. But all were lawfully registered. Parents to a six-year old and a one-year old, Tarek and Christina have confirmed their separation, saying via statement: “[We] will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.” And that latter part is true, TMZ confirms. Meanwhile: Season 7 of Flip or Flop is currently airing on HGTV. Producers tell the above-mentioned celebrity gossip site that they “will continue production as scheduled” for Season 8 of the reality series. As for what led to this stunning split? A source tells People Magazine that tension has been building ever since the couple’s program struck it big. Tarek isn’t a big fan of the spotlight, while Christina can’t get enough of the fame and/or fortune. “In a lot of ways they just seemed wildly incompatible,” the source says of Tarek and Christina . “She has champagne tastes, and he’s a beer-from-a-can kind of guy.” The insider went on to say this was “okay for a while when all they could afford was canned beer.” The couple was on the “same page” while building their series. HOWEVER… “The stardom from the show, and the money from the show, meant that she started to feel like she could finally have some of the finer things in life…” “He just couldn’t or didn’t want to keep up.” Anyone who regularly watched Flip or Flop can’t be all that stunned by this report. This is the second HGTV scandal of the past couple weeks. While Chip and Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper are VERY happy in their marriage, the stars have been in the news of late due to the anti-homosexual views of their church’s pastor . Tarek and Christina, conversely, have released a joint statement to People that reference the scary gun incident in a broad sense and which reads as follows: Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed. During the [separation] process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be. The El Moussas got married in 2009 and share two children: daughter Taylor, 6, and son Brayden, 1. For the sake of their children, we hope they work out their issues in a fair and amicable manner. And we really hope Tarek is more careful in the future with all those guns.
