Source: Dylan Buell / Getty Boxer Leaves The Ring On A Stretcher After Being Knocked Out Patrick Day, a professional boxer , is currently in a medically induced coma after getting knocked out by Charles Conwell in a fight on Saturday night. 21-year-old Conwell knocked out Day, 27, in the 10th round of their super welterweight fight in Chicago, Illinois . Viewers could see Day’s head bounce right back off the canvas after Conwell hit him with a right to the ear followed by a left hook. According to reports from DAZN , Patrick Day was unconscious as he left the arena. He ended up being rushed out of the ring on a stretcher and had is said to have suffered multiple seizures in an ambulance while on the way to a local hospital. The athlete was still unconscious and on a breathing tube an hour after the knockout. BoxingScene reported that Day underwent surgery following the at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, but there’s no word on his condition following the procedure. This scary incident went down as Day was fighting Conwell on the undercard of the Oleksander Usyk-Chazz Witherspoon fight. Conwell had already knocked Patrick down twice before the final 10th-round knockout. Errol Spence Jr. is reportedly in serious condition after his Ferrari flipped multiple times Thursday morning in Dallas. The news comes from CBS 11 who reported that the Unified welterweight champion was not wearing a seat belt when his Ferrari veered over the center median and flipped multiple times. The 29-year-old was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital. No other cars were involved in the crash and police report that he was driving at a high rate of speed. He is expected to survive. But according to reports, Trebek’s time as the legendary’s show’s host may be coming to an end. In an interview with Canada’s CTV television network , Trebek revealed that his chemotherapy treatments are starting to affect his speech. “I talk to the producers about this all the time now. I say, ‘Look, I’m slurring my words. My tongue doesn’t work as much, as well as it used to. The chemo has caused sores inside my mouth. It makes it difficult for me to speak and enunciate properly,’” He continued: “I’m sure there are observant members of the television audience that notice also, but they’re forgiving,” he added. “But there will come a point when they will no longer be able to say, ‘It’s OK.’” You may recall that back in March, the 79-year old revealed that he’d been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. However, he vowed in the TV interview to continue to fight. “We’ll play it by ear and keep chugging along until we either win or lose. I’ve lived a good life, a full life, and I’m nearing the end of that life… If it happens, why should I be afraid of that?” Let’s keep Trebek and his family in our prayers.
Source: SOPA Images / Getty Bernie Sanders Has Heart Surgery To Circumvent Artery Blockage Bernie Sanders had to sit it on down after undergoing heart surgery after the sensation of what his aides describe as “chest discomfort” during a campaign event last night. According to Politico , Sanders was taken to the hospital where doctors diagnosed a blockage in one of his arteries and immediately took the Presidential hopeful into surgery to install two stents. “Sen. Sanders is conversing and in good spirits. He will be resting up over the next few days,” senior adviser Jeff Weaver said in a statement Wednesday. “We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates.” Bernie has been crisscrossing the nation speaking to people and doing his damnedest to drum up excitement for the upcoming 2020 election. But the 78-year-old is still 78-years-old and his system ain’t quite build the way it used to be. Ethan Weiss, a cardiologist at the University of California, San Francisco, said the stent procedure Sanders underwent typically is “not anything I would get too excited about,” calling it “mostly a nuisance.” Weiss, who did not diagnose Sanders, added, “Unless I’m missing something dramatic, he should be in the hospital one or two days, and he should be fine.” It will be interesting to watch how this procedure will affect Senator Sanders’ campaign if at all. In 2016 much was made of Hillary Clinton’s brief health scare and McDonald’s-lovin’ Donald Trump’s slightly suspect clean bill of health. Will the Bernie Bros be inclined to abandon their man if they fear that he may not be physically up to the task?

According to TMZ , Knowles will appear on GMA tomorrow morning to talk about his breast cancer diagnosis. It is unclear at this time when he was told of the disease, but we expect to hear more during his interview. It is reported that less than 1% of breast cancer cases involve men, but those that do usually happen to men between the ages of 60 and 70, Knowles is 62. In other sad reporting, National Breast Cancer Foundation states that the mortality rate is much higher in men than in women. We will be tuned in to GMA in the morning and we’ll certainly be praying for Mathew’s full recovery.

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Florida Woman Stabs Herself Repeatedly Because Trump Is President Listen, normally we chide the state of Florida as a wasteland of society’s most deviant deplorables, but in this case, we KINDA get it. According to an article on The Smoking Gun , a woman from the Sunshine State stabbed herself in the stomach repeatedly with a kitchen knife. When police found her she was standing outside of her home, completely covered in blood. When asked what was wrong, the woman lifted her shirt to reveal “three stab wounds on [her] stomach that were still bleeding.” She then told the patrolman she had “stabbed herself because she does not want to live in Trump’s country.” Same, sis. Same. But we’re just not entirely sure that THIS is best way for that frustration to manifest itself. After evaluating the woman, a cop concluded that there was a “substantial likelihood” that she “will cause bodily harm to herself and/or others.” As a result, the officer appears to have recommended that the woman be involuntarily admitted to a mental health treatment facility (per the state’s Baker Act). The woman told police that this isn’t her first Baker Act rodeo. F**k Trump, but we hope she gets the help she needs because this ain’t it.
