After succefully launching his new partnership with BET for their digital subscription service, the filmmaker has taken time off to celebrate his recent accomplishment. The thing about this achievement, in particular, is that it very much feels like we all accomplished something along with him. That accomplishment being his 300-acre studio in Atlanta, Georgia, of course. The grand opening of this incredible studio brought out everyone from Bill and Hillary Clinton, to Jay-Z and Beyonce–even Oprah was along for the ride. Many of the aforementioned guests gave top tier speeches on the red carpet about what this moment meant to them, and some even had sound stages named after them such as Will Smith, who recently gave a behind-the-scenes look at the epic night from his perspective over on his Youtube channel. Thanks to Ava DuVernay, we got a sneak-peek at his massive property, which only left us wanting to a better look inside the madness. Thanks to Architectural Digest, we now get an actual tour of the property, complete with the perfect guide for the job: Tyler Perry himself. “Today we take you to Atlanta, Georgia to tour the sprawling Tyler Perry Studios. Home to productions like Marvel’s “Black Panther” and AMC Networks’ “The Walking Dead,” the self-made entertainment legend’s production compound is larger than Warner Bros. and Walt Disney’s Burbank studios combined,” the detailed description reads. “12 newly-dedicated sound stages are joined by an entire backlot neighborhood called “Maxineville,” featuring a perfect replica of Madea’s house. Both Kim Kardashian and Hillary Clinton were forced to endure a period of time in which they couldn’t give an interview without being forced to talk about Donald Trump. We imagine every day felt like an awkward Thanksgiving with the added pressure of knowing that if you say the wrong thing, you might find yourself quoted in ten million clickbait headlines. Thankfully, the trend of journalists grilling two of the world’s most famous women like they just got back from a date with the Donald seems to be subsiding. Now, the focus is on Hillary and Kim — their accomplishments, their visions for the future, and their efforts to make the world a better place. Just kidding — now they’re being asked about Meghan Markle, but that’s gotta be a welcome change of pace. As you’ve likely heard, Meghan has been treated unfairly by the British press. You might be inclined to point out that the relationship between the Royals and the UK media has always been a tense one. To which we say — you’re right. Indeed, the Windsors are used to being slandered by the tabloids — so when they say the current situation is unendurable, you know they’re not just being thin-skinned. Earlier this month, Prince Harry blasted the press for its egregious mistreatment of Meghan. And now, the Duchess of Sussex has gained two powerful allies from her home country: “I do want to say that the way she’s been treated is inexplicable,” Hillary told The Sunday Times of London . “If the explanation is that she’s biracial, then shame on everybody,” Clinton said, adding that she believes race is “certainly part of” the abuse. “She proudly had a career first and has a voice that she thankfully continues to use,” Chelsea Clinton added. “Anyone who has the temerity to break the mold of what has previously been established and expected often, unfortunately, receives criticism and bile that I don’t understand.” Kim was asked a similar line of questions by The Daily Mail , but interestingly, the paper chose to focus on the recent controversy of Meghan and Harry traveling in private jets , a tendency that many feel is at odds with the couple’s conservation efforts. (Seems that as the mother of biracial children, Kim might have some interesting thoughts n being biracial in the spotlight, but we digress …) “I think that everyone makes their own choices and decisions,” said Mrs. Kardashian-West. “And I think that, like I said, no one’s gonna be perfect. I’m not, they’re not. I don’t know who is.” Kim added: “I still love and value the fact they bring such attention to such important movements that need to happen and things that they’re really passionate about cause they’re still changing the world.” So whose support is more valuable to Meg? Tough to say. Obviously, Hillary is more accomplished, but globally, Kim is more famous. We just know that if Michelle Obama and Beyonce get in on this then bullying Meghan might soon be punishable by death. As it should be. Source: SOPA Images / Getty Bernie Sanders Has Heart Surgery To Circumvent Artery Blockage Bernie Sanders had to sit it on down after undergoing heart surgery after the sensation of what his aides describe as “chest discomfort” during a campaign event last night. According to Politico , Sanders was taken to the hospital where doctors diagnosed a blockage in one of his arteries and immediately took the Presidential hopeful into surgery to install two stents. “Sen. Sanders is conversing and in good spirits. He will be resting up over the next few days,” senior adviser Jeff Weaver said in a statement Wednesday. “We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates.” Bernie has been crisscrossing the nation speaking to people and doing his damnedest to drum up excitement for the upcoming 2020 election. But the 78-year-old is still 78-years-old and his system ain’t quite build the way it used to be. Ethan Weiss, a cardiologist at the University of California, San Francisco, said the stent procedure Sanders underwent typically is “not anything I would get too excited about,” calling it “mostly a nuisance.” Weiss, who did not diagnose Sanders, added, “Unless I’m missing something dramatic, he should be in the hospital one or two days, and he should be fine.” It will be interesting to watch how this procedure will affect Senator Sanders’ campaign if at all. In 2016 much was made of Hillary Clinton’s brief health scare and McDonald’s-lovin’ Donald Trump’s slightly suspect clean bill of health. Will the Bernie Bros be inclined to abandon their man if they fear that he may not be physically up to the task?

Prison Positivity: Leader Of Right Wing Militia That Unlawfully Detained Migrants Gets Beaten In Jail

Larry Mitchell Hopkins, Leader Of United Constitutional Patriots, Beaten In Jail The leader of a rancidly racist right-wing militia group recently got his a** beat, and it’s very much so the highlight of our day. Larry Mitchell Hopkins, the 69-year-old leader of the United Constitutional Patriots, apparently got hands and feet put on him in a New Mexico prison. Doña Ana County officials told NBC News that they’re investigating a battery against Hopkins that happened after 9 p.m. Monday, April 22. But they provided few details. “Hopkins was given medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries,” a Doña Ana County news release states. “He was transferred out of the Doña Ana County Detention Center under the direction of the U.S. Marshals Service on Tuesday.” His attack comes after he appeared in federal court in connection with a charge of him being a felon in possession of a firearm. Hopkins group reportedly prided themselves on being the “eyes and ears” of border patrol agents and targeted migrants, sometimes holding them at gunpoint until agents arrived. His band of merry men reportedly was 20 deep and they were “armed with AK-47 rifles and other firearms.” An FBI tip line blew the whistle on the United Constitutional Patriots actions and the FBI agent who wrote the complaint against them said Hopkins allegedly said the group was “training to assassinate George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama.” Hopkins’ lawyer has since called the accusation “categorically false.” NBC also ran down the laundry list of Hopkins’ criminal history. It reads as follows; “In 1996, Hopkins was convicted of possession of a loaded firearm and was sentenced to state prison in Michigan for 16 months minimum to two years maximum, according to the complaint.” “In 2006, he was convicted of felony possession of a weapon in Oregon and sentenced to 40 days in jail and 36 months of probation, the complaint said.” “At the same time, Hopkins was also convicted of criminal impersonation of a peace officer and sentenced to 20 days in jail and 24 months of probation, the complaint said.” Wow, what a patriot (sarcasm). It sounds a lot like Hopkins and his militia group were just racist azzholes targeting families and covering it up by calling themselves patriots. Do YOU agree?

Kamala Harris has seen a bump in the polls, as the accuracy of early surveys come under question that pegged former Vice President Joe Biden as the clear frontrunner for the 2020 Democratic nomination. See Also: Poll Shows What Crucial Iowa Voters Think About Likely Black Candidates For President Politico pointed out on Monday that at least two recent polls suggested that Biden does not have the 30-point lead that earlier polls found. The methodology of those early surveys apparently skewed the results and painted Biden as a formidable candidate if he decides to run. New surveys indicated that many Democrats are undecided and Biden—unlike Harris—may have benefited from name recognition in those earlier polls. One notable poll in December—before any Democrats announce their presidential bid—found that 32 percent of Iowa Democrats favored Biden in a field of about 20 possible opponents. Harris and New Jersey’s Democratic Sen. Cory Booker found themselves in the middle of the pack in the single digits. “People are weighing their options. I think the reason that so many people are getting in is because this is a 1-to-15 percent spread, not a 1-to-30 percent spread. It’s very different from 2016, when Hillary Clinton was at 40 or 50 percent,” said Steen Kirby, a campaigns and data specialist with Bold Blue Campaigns, adding that new polling shows that “it’s a very open field.” A new poll shows what Iowa Democrats think about nominating a Black candidate for president in 2020, including Sens. That result was similar to an  ABC News/Washington Post poll  published during the last week of January, which also gave Biden a 1-point lead over Harris—9 percent to 8 percent. Kirby pointed to the methodology of early pollsters as part of the reason that Biden was shown to have a huge lead over his potential rivals. Those surveys offered a menu of potential candidates but neglected to ask the voters if they were undecided. When Bold Blue Campaigns gave respondents that option, nearly half of them—48 percent—said they had not firmly decided on which Democrat to support. The December poll of Iowa Democrats was viewed as an early indication of which Candidate was most likely to win the party’s Iowa Caucus, which is scheduled for  Feb. 3, 2020. As the first primary contest in the nation, a win in Iowa could cement a primary victory. The winner has won the Democratic presidential nomination in six consecutive election cycles . With all the political scandals of the past two years, it’s easy to forget about the strange saga of Anthony Weiner. Fortunately, if you’ve forgotten the details, Weiner’s scarily appropriate surname is probably enough to jog your memory. In 2011, the Democratic congressman from New York was a political star on the rise. That same year, however, he found himself involved in a bizarre scandal that attracted intense interest from late night hosts and pun-loving headline writers alike. Weiner accidentally tweeted a photo of his penis that he intended to send to a woman he had been flirting with online. The whole thing might not have been such a big deal, were it not for the fact that Weiner is married to Huma Abedin , an advisor to Hillary Clinton and another rising star for the Dems. Also not helping his situation is the fact that Weiner not only continued with his deviant behavior but got more extreme as the years went on. Weiner stepped down from Congress following his first sexting scandal, but he returned to politics in 2013 to run for mayor of New York City . Weiner’s second scandal introduced the world to Carlos Danger (his alias) and Sydney Leathers, a recipient of explicit texts from Weiner. Obviously, that derailed his mayoral campaign, but it was the third sexting scandal that sent Weiner to prison . In 2017, The Daily Mail broke the news that Weiner was caught sexting a 15-year-old North Carolina resident. Weiner was sentenced to 21 months behind bars for his crimes. He was released today with no advance notice, six months ahead of schedule. Weiner was initially scheduled to be released in August of 2019, but he was granted an early release on the basis of good behavior. For now, Weiner will be residing in a halfway house in the Bronx. He was spotted today by a New York Post reported as he momentarily stepped outside to pick up food he’d had delivered. Asked for a comment, Weiner stated simply, “Not allowed to talk. I’m sorry, my friend.” It’s probably best for Weiner to keep as low a profile as possible these days.

The death of a former President is one of the rare occasions where the current POTUS and all former living Presidents come together publicly. Considering the fact that all the living Presidents and their wives pretty much hate Donald Trump, things will obviously be awkward as AF when they all come face-to-face. Now we didn’t expect fisticuffs, least not during the funeral, but the tension was visibly palpable as Donald and Melania greeted the former First Families. The Obamas and Bill Clinton kept it cute for the most part, but Hillary Clinton, oh, Hillary Clinton wasn’t having any of it. Ice cold. Check it out in the video below.
