Amy Roloff Shares Family Throwback Photo, Sends Message to Late Mom

Amy Roloff is feeling blessed at the moment. She’s also feeling sad and sentimental and, above all, reflective. This is what happens when a loved one passes away. Late last month, the Little People, Big World star lost her mother , Patricia. The 86-year old died after having been sick for several months, with Amy saying little about the tragedy when it first took place — but then mourning her openly on Instagram a few days later. And now the TLC personality is once again taking to social media in order to talk about her mother. “Every time I look at this photo I’m reminded how blessed I am,” wrote the mother of four to open a lengthy caption to the photo above, adding: “I have 4 amazing wonderful kids, 3 wonderful daughter-in-laws, one fantastic son-in-law, 2 precious grand kids (2 more on the way now).” (Indeed, Tori Roloff is due to give birth right around Thanksgiving and Tori Roloff is due to give birth in early January.) Amy then went on to explain the circumstances behind the family throwback photo shared at the outset of this article. “I thank the Lord everyday for them,” she wrote, continuing as follows: “And how the Lord put it on my heart last year to encourage my kids, if they could, to take a trip to Michigan with me to see my Mom and Dad , their grandparents, and my family, last summer (2018). “My Dad was turning 90 and my Mom 86. I just knew it was the right time, more than ever before, for them to go and visit them.” Amy, who got engaged just before her mother died , proceeded to give thanks that her extended family was able to spend this time with her parents, writing: “My Mom and Dad got to see my kids, their grandchildren again and to meet their great grand children (Jackson and Ember). My Mom hoped she would get to see her great grandchildren one day and I’m so happy she did!” Amy did mention a few months ago that her mother was ill, but she never specified exactly what was going on. She does so here, however: “Then 9 months later, earlier this year, my mom heart surgery. She wasn’t the same physically, ever since. My Mom passed on Sept 24th.” Just so very sad overall. But at least Amy was able to spend special time with Patricia before she passed away. “I’m going back home, to Michigan, to say good-bye and be with my Dad and my family. But the moments and memories I have of her will be with me for a life time,” continued Amy, updating followers on her status and her whereabouts and adding: “Life is filled with tons of moments – many we may let slip by. Be sure to let what doesn’t really matter slip by more than the many little moments that do/should matter. “Time is but a moment. Make the best of those moments as you can. For you can’t get them back.” Moving many fans to tears, Amy concluded with a message to Patricia. This is what she wrote: Mom I’m going to miss you. I do miss you already. You’re not hurting anymore and You’re with the Lord now and for that I’m grateful. God is good always. Love you Mom . Amy also used the hashtags  #lovemymomforever , #familyalways and #faith . We continue to send our condolences to Amy Roloff and all her loved ones. View Slideshow: Little People, Big World: The Roloffs’ Shocking Scandals… Exposed! [Updated]

Michigan Girl Banned From Taking School Picture Because Of Her Red Bun

Continue reading here:

Source: Screenshot: WILX News 10 / WILX News 10 Another day, another disturbing example of a young Black girl in America being discriminated against because of her hair. According to WILX News , an 8-year-old from Michigan was banned from having her annual school picture taken because her braided bun was dyed red. See, according to officials from Paragon Charter Academy in Jackson, MI, claim Marian Scott went against the school’s policy of wearing only “natural hair tones.” Yet, Marian Scott’s father is speaking out, saying his daughter felt “singled out.” “It’s upsetting,” Doug Scott said, crying to WILX News about the treatment his child endured. He added “All of this is uncalled for, they didn’t even call us.” “Marian didn’t leave the house, go on the street and get this done on her own, no – she’s 8 years old, we did this ourselves in our own home and there’s no way I felt like this would happen.” While this may be the rule, Scott pointed out that the punishment for it isn’t clear. That, and while she wasn’t allowed to take the picture, she was allowed to return to class. “If they would have reached out to us and say come get her…she’s got a hair issue, we need you to change it, that’s not allowed – I would have been fine with why this happened but they didn’t reach out to us,” said Scott. “They let her stay in school… so if she’s not a disruption to the class, then why is she a disruption to the picture?” The school claims it sent an email about the policy, but Scott says he didn’t see it, and if he had he would have told his daughter’s mother to not add the color to her hair. But he is glad that people are now seeing what is going on at this school. In the meantime, the Scotts don’t plan on taking her out of the school and have rescheduled for Marianne to get picture re-taken on November 12th.   Regardless of this rule, it’s problematic that it exists in the first place and as we know, these types of grooming policies disproportionately affect Black girls and teens. But if this makes you upset, please know that there is something you can do about it now. Right now, in 48 states it is legal to discriminate against natural hairstyles at school and in the workplace. While the state of California passed The Crown Act earlier this year, it’s not a federal law across the board, but it can be if we speak out. That, and if we sign The CROWN Act petition urging the legislature to vote on it. Our hair shouldn’t be looked at a distraction, it has nothing to do with learning and punishing Black girls for how they choose to wear their hair has to stop. Now. Amy Roloff Mourns Mother, Shares Heartbreaking Message

Amy Roloff has experienced a true whirlwind of emotions over the past several days. We’re talking about the highest of highs and the lowest of lows here. And now the Little People, Big World star has opened up about it all. As you likely know by now, Amy is engaged to Chris Marek . Her boyfriend of three years proposed on their dating anniversary in September, finally turning this romantic rumor into an exciting reality. Just a week, later, however, tragedy struck: Roloff’s mother, Patricia, passed away at the age of 86 . Amy wrote openly at the time of Marek’s proposal about what transpired between the couple — but she only briefly mentioned her mom’s passing on Instagram after it happened. Now, though, the TLC personality has a lot more to say about her late parent. “The last two weeks have been a roller coaster ride. Happy and sad,” Amy wrote on Tuesday at the opening to a lengthy photo caption, continuing as follows: “Chris asked me to marry him and I couldn’t be happier – I said Yes. and so excited and looking forward to continuing our journey together.” But then, as Amy notes, her mother — whose illness she had referenced on occasion over the summer — passed away … and the reality star was forced to confront the total opposite emotion. “So sad because A few days later my father told me mom was in the hospital and a day later my sister told me mom had passed away,” she wrote. “She died on the 24th. My heart broke, I cried and sadness came upon me. I didn’t know what emotions to feel. Happy one moment sad the next.” Amy included this message alongside a photo montage of Patricia. Roloff went on to pay heartfelt tribute to Patricia, who appeared on several episodes of Little People, Big World. This is what she wrote: The woman who raised and taught me so much and loved me along w/ my dad passed away. She isn’t here anymore. I won’t be able to see and talk to her. And yet she’s not in pain and hurting anymore either. She lived a good life with my Dad. She didn’t have to go in a home but was able to stay in her home until she died. She would have been 87 years old and my parents would have been married 67 years on the 3rd. I’ll miss her a lot. I’ll miss not seeing her when I go back home – her strong feisty ways along with her gentle soft loving heart. I’m thankful for so much because of my Mom. I’m thankful she believed and had faith and know she’s with Jesus now. I’m thankful I got to talk to her on Sunday before she went to the hospital and then passed away. I know she’ll never stop loving me and is proud of me, I’m thankful all my kids got to go to Michigan last summer and see her and my dad and she got to meet her great grand kids. She was happy because of that. We have no words we can add here. There are few things more painful in life than losing a parent. Here is how Amy concluded her post: I’m sad because I won’t be able to see and talk to her anymore and yet happy because she’s home with the Lord. I pray for my Dad. He’s by himself and He misses her so much. He’ll be 91 soon and he lost his friend, his wife and the person he’s known for over 70 years and been married to for 67 years. Even in my mom’s passing she is lovingly teaching and reminding me- life is but a moment. Be and do your best today and if tomorrow comes do it again. Mom, I love you always. U.S. History: Beto O’Rourke Shares Documents Proving His Ancestors Owned Slaves

Source: Matt Winkelmeyer / Getty Beto O’Rourke Posts Documents Showing His Ancestors Owned Slaves Hey White folks of America. Just in case you need a friendly reminder, even if you consider yourself to not be racist, there’s a high chance your ancestors did some racist a$$ sh**. You know…like own slaves. Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke is letting the facts be the facts since he revealed documents that show his ancestors owned slaves. In a Medium post , O’Rourke revealed that he and his wife are both descendants of slave owners. “I was recently given documents showing that both Amy and I are descended from people who owned slaves,” he wrote. “Along with other possessions listed in their property log were two human beings, Rose and Eliza. A paternal great-great-great grandfather of mine, Andrew Cowan Jasper, owned these two women in the 1850s.” O’Rourke went on to say that there are also “records showing that a maternal great-great-great grandfather, Frederick Williams, most likely owned slaves in the 1860s (‘most likely,’ because we are not certain that the Frederick Williams who is my ancestor and the Frederick Williams who owned slaves are the same person, but there’s enough circumstantial data to lead me to conclude that it’s likely).” He continued: “Records also showed that Amy had an ancestor who owned slaves and another who was a member of the Confederate Army.” “Something that we’ve been thinking about and talking about in town hall meetings and out on the campaign — the legacy of slavery in the United States — now has a much more personal connection.” “Ownership of other human beings conferred advantages not just to Andrew Jasper and Frederick Williams, but to Jasper’s and Williams’ descendants as well. They were able to build wealth on the backs and off the sweat of others, wealth that they would then be able to pass down to their children and their children’s children. In some way, and in some form, that advantage would pass through to me and my children.” “That those enslaved Americans owned by my ancestors were denied their freedom, denied the ability to amass wealth, denied full civil rights in America after slavery also had long term repercussions for them and their descendants.” Finally, he concluded: “I benefit from a system that my ancestors built to favor themselves at the expense of others. That only increases the urgency I feel to help change this country so that it works for those who have been locked-out of — or locked-up in — this system.” “As a person, as a candidate for the office of the Presidency, I will do everything I can to deliver on this responsibility.” “In addition to making significant changes to education policy (immediately address $23 billion in underfunding for minority-majority public schools), economic policy (ensuring equal pay, deploying capital to minority- and women-owned businesses, $25 billion in government procurement to these same businesses), healthcare (universal healthcare and home health visits to women of color to reverse trend in maternal and infant mortality) and criminal justice (police accountability, ending the drug war, and expunging arrest records for nonviolent drug crimes), I will continue to support reparations, beginning with an important national conversation on slavery and racial injustice.” What ya’ll think? Is this the 2020 president? Let us know your thoughts!

Tired Of This Sh**: Ya’ll Scum Of AmeriKKKa A$$ President Tells Women Of Color Congresswomen To “Go Back” To Their County

Source: Sara D. Davis / Getty Donald Trump Tells Progressive Democrat Congresswomen To “Go Back” To Their Country The day Trump is out of office will truly be THE DAY. Ya’ll raggedy a$$, racist a$$ president had the adolescent AUDACITY to come after Democrat congresswomen, specifically women of color who are pushing progressive politics. In a tweet, Donald Trump typed: “So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.” He vomited some more: “Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!” So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly…… — Donald J. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2019   Trash. trash. trash. trash. TRAAAASH. Although the president didn’t mention anyone by name, it’s clear he was referring to a group of progressive congresswomen who are pushing the envelope in the Democratic party, including Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts. And surprise, surprise, all of these women were born in the United States with the exception of one. Tlaib, a Palestinian American, was born in Michigan; Ocasio-Cortez,  who’s family is Puerto Rican,  was born in New York; and Pressley, a Black woman, was born in Cincinnati. Omar is a Somali refugee who moved to the U.S. when she was 12 and she became a citizen in 2000. Meanwhile, ya’ll crusty Cheeto-In-Chief is spewing dangerous rhetoric that could literally put these women’s life at risk. Trash. A lot of these women clapped back at the president with Ocasio-Cortez tweeting, “the country I ‘come from,’ & the country we all swear to, is the United States.” Mr. President, the country I “come from,” & the country we all swear to, is the United States. But given how you’ve destroyed our border with inhumane camps, all at a benefit to you & the corps who profit off them, you are absolutely right about the corruption laid at your feet. https://t.co/HLKQCotR8T — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 14, 2019   She continued: “You are angry because you don’t believe in an America where I represent New York 14, where the good people of Minnesota elected @IlhanMN, where @RashidaTlaib fights for Michigan families, where @AyannaPressley champions little girls in Boston.” “You are angry because you can’t conceive of an America that includes us. Yet here we are. — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 14, 2019   Meanwhile, Ilhan Omar tweeted: “Mr. President, As Members of Congress, the only country we swear an oath to is the United States. Which is why we are fighting to protect it from the worst, most corrupt and inept president we have ever seen.” Mr. President, As Members of Congress, the only country we swear an oath to is the United States. Audrey Roloff and Jeremy Roloff: Expecting Baby #2!

Audrey Roloff and Jeremy Roloff just shared some pretty exciting news with their fans!” The Little People, Big World stars are happy to announce that their world is about to get even bigger as they are expecting their second child together. That’s right, Audrey Roloff is pregnant and shared the big news online Monday as she held her belly bump and showed off the new baby’s sonogram.  She, Jerem  and 22-month-old daughter Ember  all smiled big for the Instagram pic, as you can see above.  “Baby #2 is coming in January!!!” Audrey wrote in the caption, keeping it simple and straightforward. “Ember is gonna be a big sister! We are so grateful and excited for this little blessing to join our family.” This good news is a major shift from Audrey’s recent post  where she opened up about her and Jeremy’s marriage issues. While many fans were expecting a divorce announcement, a baby announcement was delivered instead.  (yay!)  “To be honest, the last few weeks have been hard on our marriage,” she began her lengthy caption last week, warning her followers it was a “vulnerable post.”  “We have been working through some things and let’s just say there has been a lot of ‘heated fellowship’, morning hugs missed and date nights postponed.” “We are overworked and exhausted from the pace we’ve been running for too long,” she admitted. “We know we need to slow down, but as Dallas Willard puts it, ‘we intend what is right, but we avoid the life that would make it a reality.'” “Instead, we keep running, keep pushing, keep producing and keep squeezing all the margin out of our lives,” the former TLC personality continued.  “It’s robbing our joy, stealing our peace, and hindering our ability to love,” she even went on to remark. The author, who recently wrote a memoir with Jeremy about their relationship and their overall views on marriage, explained to fans that what you see is not always what you get on social media. “If you’ve ever looked at or read a post from us and thought ‘They must just have it all together,’ Volume up for this one… WE DON’T,” she said.  “We fight, we struggle, cry, and face challenges just like anyone.” “I’m saying this here because if you look at my Instagram feed from the past 3 weeks you don’t see the long tearful conversations, the hurtful remarks, the compiling complaints”… …”the critical spirits, the prideful inner dialogue, or our unloving and disrespectful attitudes,” Audrey shared. “You don’t see the full picture.”  However, after seeing the family’s most recent picture, we think it’s safe to say some brighter days are ahead for the parents.  Radar Online reported that the couple decided to leave their reality show last year in hopes of focssing on a new career goal as social media influencers. They also started a podcast and wrote the aforementioned book. “After 14 years, over 300 episodes, and 17 seasons, the time has come,” Jeremy wrote to his personal IG page about a year ago. “A year ago I made the decision that this season would be our last.” “It has been an amazing run, and I can’t say thank you enough to all of you who have watched and supported us along the ride,” he said.  Congratulations to Audrey, Jeremy, and baby Ember as they approach this next exciting chapter of their life!  We wish Audrey the happiest and healthiest pregnancy possible! Amy Roloff to Matt Roloff: Stop Lying to Me! Stop Bullying Me!

On the personal front, everything is going very well for Amy Roloff and Matt Roloff. How could it not be? Both are involved in very serious romantic relationships… and they just discovered they are gonna be grandparents again! Ineed, in case you haven’t heard, Tori Roloff is pregnant with her second child . Therefore, it should be an exciting time for the parents of four — and yet Tuesday night’s episode of Little People, Big World once again depicted the former spouses coming to verbal blows with one another. They remain as an impasse over the future of their business. On the latest installment of this TLC realty show, Amy returned from her trip to Michigan, still quite unsure about what she wanted to do with Roloff Family Farm. This has been the main topic of debate between her and Matt throughout this latest season of the series. “I just want to make the best decision,” Amy told the camera of why she’s taken so long here to arrive at a conclusion, adding: “Moving out of a house that I never really thought I’d move out of years ago. … to think about that now is a little daunting. It is a little scary, it’s a little intimidating because I’ve never really been on my own before.” Totally understandable, right? This makes it sound as if moving in with boyfriend Chris Marek isn’t on the table. But that’s a question for another day. The focus of this week’s episode was not on Amy’s relationship with Chris, but on the one with her ex-husband instead. When Amy revealed her hesitation to Matt, he once again grew exasperated that there was no movement in her mind, telling her he would be happy with either the buyout or switching sides of the farm. Unlike the mother of his kids, Matt knows he wants to move on from the current state of the farm and his ongoing role in its daily upkeep. Amy, however, thought his flexibility was just another negotiation tactic. “I don’t trust it,” she said in a confessional “This isn’t just a business decision, it’s a little personal for me.” These exes have remained quite amicable since their divorce in 2016, but Matt has become very inpatient with Amy this season. He even said she was holding him and his dreams hostage a few weeks ago. “Matt has a strong personality, and one that I’ve adapted over the years we were together,” Amy continued last night, saying she had learned in the years since their divorce to take the following tact: “Stand your ground and don’t let life push you around, including Matt.” We don’t think Matt is trying to be a bully in any way here. He recently slammed actual bullies who have been giving Amy a hard time on social media. But he does want an answer and does want to know when Amy will give him one. “She’s being a little bit, in my mind, selfish right now,” Matt said in the quote we reference above from an earlier episode of the TLC program last month. “I just don’t want to be held hostage anymore to [her] indecisiveness.” As always, it’s important to remember that what you see each week on Little People, Big World was filmed many months ago. In far more recent interviews together, Matt and Amy have discussed the mutual respect that still exists between them, despite their break-up. “We like to say: There’s no Team Matt and no Team Amy,” Matt told Us Weekly just two weeks ago. “It’s Team Roloff.” Amy agreed. “It’s about our family, it’s about our kids, it’s about our grandkids,” she said, while Matt concluded in this revealing chat: “We still drive each other crazy. But then we respect each other as well.” Little People, Big World airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on TLC. View Slideshow: Little People, Big World: 19 Shocking Scandals… Exposed!

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty After giving birth to her second son, up-and-coming singer-songwriter Queen Naija decided to have plastic surgery. Vlogging about her tummy tuck and brazilian butt lift, she said she’s “really happy” with the results – but many of her fans aren’t on board. “I’m really really happy about the results,” Queen explained. “I basically got a tummy tuck and I got my hernia repaired around my belly navel, it would puff out because of my loose skin. I had really really bad fibrosis from the smart lipo I got two years ago.” “I’m just really really happy. I feel more confident with my body and being a mom with two kids and having two c-sections and all the stuff going on with myself, I’m really happy,” she said, adding “I will not be getting any more surgery. I won’t turn into one of those girls who gets lip fat added and all this stuff. I’m not touching my face. As y’all know I got eye fillers and I’m never doing that again.” View this post on Instagram spicy mami, hot tamale bodysuit: @fashionnova A post shared by Christopher Legend (@queennaija) on May 12, 2019 at 2:06pm PDT But when news that she had plastic surgery went viral, Queen faced criticism for going that route. Well, now she has responded in kind. “Now if I would have kept it a secret like a lot of other women who’ve had surgery… everyone would have [been] saying ‘liar, did you get your surgery, why you hiding it?’ Lol I tell the truth & it’s still an issue. Hilarious. Imma take my new booty and hide in a ditch,” she wrote on The Shade Room’s post . She also addressed the issue in another Youtube clip that you can watch below.
