Peabo Bryson remains hospitalized in stable condition after having what’s being called a “mild” heart attack. A rep for Peabo told TMZ that the Grammy winner was at his home in Georgia early Saturday morning when he suffered the attack. His rep says he’s currently responsive and both his medical team and family are optimistic that he’ll make a speedy recovery. “At this time, privacy is requested; however, the thoughts and prayers of friends and fans are welcomed and appreciated,” Peabo’s rep told TMZ. Thoughts and prayers for the man who gave us “A Whole New World”—you got it, Peabo! Get well soon.

So much so that New York City has declared a public health emergency due to the viral outbreak affecting the Orthodox Jewish community in Williamsburg. Mayor Bill De Blasio said in a new conference on Tuesday, that unvaccinated people living in select zip codes will be required to receive the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine, known as MMR, to curtail the outbreak and protect others. “[Williamsburg, Brooklyn] is the epicenter of a measles outbreak that is very, very troubling and must be dealt with immediately. The measles vaccine works. It is safe, it is effective, it is time-tested. Every hour, every day matters here. If people would just go and get vaccinated, there’s no cause for a fine. It’s not our goal to issue violations. Coachella Cancelled: Solange Pulls Out Of Performance Due To Rampant Sickness In Her Band

Source: PYMCA / Getty Solange Cancels Coachella Performance Solange really tried to make Coachella happen, but life just isn’t cooperating. According to TMZ , the “production issues” that she was experiencing was really more of an issue for her band. Word is that several people have come down with an illness that has taken them completely out of rehearsals etc. Solange and co. tried their damnedest to get new band members but she felt like she just couldn’t give the performance that she wanted to give and decided it was better to pull the plug than to half-a$$ it. Maybe Solo will come back next year stronger like her big sister did.

It’s been four years since August Alsina gave an official interview, and so much has gone on in the star’s life since then.  The Shade Room caught up with the “I Luv This” singer and he dished on everything fans have been wanting to know during his hiatus, including the status of his relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith and how he’s been holding up since his sister’s death. Aug got emotional when asked how he’s been feeling: “I’m going through my process. I’m going through my journey. And I’m not looking for any sympathy because I know that God has me even when I feel that God doesn’t. Even when I’m talking to God in a rage and I can’t hear God responding to me. I’m just in a space where I know that there are certain things you can learn about God through suffering.” The tears continued to fall as he opened up about getting custody of his nieces after his sister’s death. “While I’m suffering, and while I’m watching my nieces suffer — who are my kids now— to hear them tell me ‘I want my mother and I want my father’. And them seeing me as a person who can always fix something for them. And this is a situation that I can’t fix. I just continue to walk by faith and not what I see. Because people are dying.” Fortunately, it looks like August is back in good spirits since the emotional interview. Source: Prince Williams/WireImage / Getty Fetty Wap And Alexis Skyy’s Daughter Needed Brain Surgery Our prayers go out to Fetty Wap and Alexis Skky as well as their 1-year-old daughter Alaiya, who underwent emergency brain surgery this weekend according to TMZ reports. TMZ sources say Alexis noticed something was wrong with Alaiya during a flight from Atlanta to New York when she began excessively vomiting. Skyy took the baby to the hospital where she was whisked into emergency surgery to repair a malfunctioning implant in her brain that helps drain blood and fluids. You guys may recall Alaiya was born 3 months premature. She suffers from hydrocephalus, which causes bleeding and fluid in the brain. The surgery is said to have been successful and Alaiya is reportedly recovering with both Fetty and Alexis by her side. Our hearts go out to them. We’re so glad to hear the operation went well and hope that her health continues to improve.

Source: Steve Granitz / Getty Ariana Grande Pulls Out Of Her New Years Eve Performance Ariana Grande has officially canceled her Las Vegas performance just days before New Year’s Eve “due to unforeseeable health reasons.” Grande was originally scheduled to perform at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday. The hotel announced in a statement to The Associated Press on Friday that the she will not be performing after all. The hotel also said guests can receive refunds at their point of purchase. Ariana also posted her own message to her Instagram story on December 28, a few days before the scheduled performance, to briefly explain to fans why she won’t be making it to Las Vegas. The singer wrote, “vegas, I’m currently working through some health issues and am beyond sorry i won’t be able to see u this weekend. i love u and so look forward to seeing u and making it up to u next year.” Even though she won’t be performing on New Years, 2018 is probably a year that Ms. Grande is more than happy to put behind her. Although she’s had arguably the best year of her career, the singer’s personal woes have been just as public as her musical achievements. Her song “Thank U, Next” is spending its sixth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, she recently earned two Grammy nominations, and was also named woman of the year by Billboard. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Ariana’s year also included the end of her relationship with comedian-actor Pete Davidson and the death of her former boyfriend, the rapper Mac Miller. Without sharing many details, she hit Instagram with an update on herself and her “golden child.” She wrote on Thursday night: “I’m FINALLY back home and doing much better. The baby has been PERFECTLY fine since being born Dec. 14th and I’m resting & recovering at home. (Pap is VERY happy, on cloud 9,999 )” She also thanked her loved ones and fans for all of the prayers, plus the team of doctors and security who made sure her family was OK throughout it all: “Thank you to all of our family, friends, and loved ones who reached out- Sorry for not responding to texts and/or calls – I physically was not able to and my husband @papoosepapoose was concerned & worried about me all while looking after our “Golden Child”. Also, thank you to all the fans who sent their love and prayers We would also like to thank the ENTIRE staff at the hospital (doctors, nurses, aides, even the housekeeping) as well as the AMAZING security team ; not only did you all make sure my family was well taken care of but everyone was very professional and extremely respectful & protective of our privacy; we truly appreciate it –  with love, The Mackies” In case you missed it , Remy Ma was rushed back to the hospital after giving birth due to excessive bleeding. She reportedly had blood transfusions while on the operating table. We’re glad Remy and her baby girl are in good health.

Remy Ma Has Post-Birth Surgery For Bleeding Remy Ma is unfortunately back in the hospital after giving birth to “The Golden Child.” TMZ reports that Remy was rushed into emergency surgery Tuesday after suffering from excessive bleeding. They add that the rapper had blood transfusions while on the operating table but the surgery was a success. She’s expected to be released soon.
